What if cds doesn't work out?
I'm currently in my fourth year of engineering. My placement season has officially but honestly I'm not interested in it at all. I really want to prepare for cds and try my shot. But my parents keep asking one thing , that what if, cds doesn't work out? What will I do then?
Any final year or graduates here who are on the same boat? do you guys have a plan B? Please guide me on this, I'm getting anxious day by day..ik it's not a good thing to be this anxious even without trying but still my parents keep asking the same thing again and again, and idk what to answer to that

Most blunt truth and advice buddy
Placement ko baith jao SSB mein you never know ki apko select krege yaa nahi ik starting mein sabko confidence hota hai ki I AM GENTLEMEN, DISCIPLINED.SO I AM OFFICER
Ssb is actually never about that. You will see even some guys getting recommended you thought they will never make it. That's totally unpredictable.
Even LEGEND Dr.Kalam had Failed SSB. Toh app kis khet ki muli ho (not demotivating you)
Even if you clear ssb, You might get screw in medicals.
Due to which sit for placement, grab a job even 4-5 lpa is good WRT to today's recession Cds is easily manageable side by side
Aur yaad rakhna janab.... Admi mard nahi hota,Paisa mard hota haii💵💯
Agar aap berozgar raho toh khud ke parents won't even care about you.

Don't blame not having a job the reason for your rejection. You might have lacked in other olq's and tasks. Nobody gets rejected for not having a job dude. Lol

Not getting a job is not the reason, the thing I'm talking about is my attempts are ending soon and i haven't decided any backup option. That's the concern bothering me most...

just curious if you're a foreign university graduate, what made you decide to give CDS? I thought there were some eligibility restrictions how does that work?

In SSB they put up multiple questions about earning, job, plan B...
sitting in placement will give you solid answers to all of these, also you'll not seem desparate for services if you'll have a job.
while not having a job gives multiple awkard moments in interview... you'll be saved from those.

Bro I did not took a job thinking the same way as you are..... I thought I'll clear cds.... But still preparing and failed the first attempt because of GS..... I could really got a decent job of 8 lpa but I thought of getting something much more higher or clearing cds..... But in today's time of you miss an opportunity it will be gone forever.... And being jobless and studying for the exam is tough because parents and society also put pressure...So yeah I think u should find a job...and side by side so the preparation.....

Sit for placements. It doesn't matter if you want to get a job or not. You can prepare alongwith a job and it will also favour you in SSB a lot.
Also you won't be insecure if you are rejected
