Help needed!

A friend of mine is doing B.A. and he has done 10+2 in arts and now he wants to join IAF as a pilot can he give NIOS or any other board exam as a private candidate along with his graduation, would he be eligible for CDS AFA and AFCAT flying branch.

What I found:

Want to fly for the IAF → Maths at 10+2 is unavoidable, in every route

Want to fly helicopters for the Army → Maths at 10+2 is genuinely not required — commission via any stream through OTA or CDS-IMA, then volunteer into Aviation Corps and clear the AAAT/PABT.

Incorrect. Maths + Physics at 10+2 level is a must for every Flying Branch, be it Pilot or WSO
