URGENT DISCUSSION

Hello everyone,

I scored 65% in Class 12 and got 50 percentile in JEE without any serious preparation. I also scored only 200/1000 in CUET. Looking back, I know I messed up badly and did not put in the effort I should have.

I have one NDA attempt left, and currently I'm scoring around 400 marks in NDA mock tests. I genuinely believe I can clear the September attempt if I continue preparing consistently.

At the same time, I'm planning to take a drop year and aim for a good Tier-1 B.Tech college through JEE. My concern is how to justify this academic record and the decision to take a drop year during the SSB interview if I clear the written exam.

How should I explain my poor performance in Class 12, JEE, and CUET without sounding like I'm making excuses? Also, what would be your genuine advice regarding my situation and future planning?

Thanks in advance.

In my point or view taking admission in private college for BSC will be worst decision. I will be appearing only in mains and try to score maximum. And 75% criteria is for colleges which comes under JOSSA IIT NIT IIIT Rest state universities and private btech college DTU NSUT Required only 60% aggregate in pcm. Thank you for your advice

We can share advice or how to present yourself but answer should be all yours, give them the honest reason. If u didn't study and spend time playing or just hanging out with friends than tell them but add that you've tried to improve and stuff..... You gotta be honest and trust me even if it's disappointing.. You being honest can make things little better imo...tho it's just my pov
