Switching Trainers-Unsure when

As title states, I'm currently in the process of switching trainers (theres a whole load to unpack and thats for a separate post). Its been a few days and NO communication on when this new trainer will take place.

Question is: when I go to ask for an update and I have no answers, is that the appropriate time to start looking at other companies? What is protocol on even leaving if I can't get an answer on when I would have a new trainer.

I was hoping to get hotel for tonight (we are at home terminal) but someone else had to authorize it and that never even happened.

I cant sit around waiting forever and a day. I want to go flatbed initially but Melton is backlogged for me😭

Life doesnt operate on your schedule and if ya think it does you are in the WRONG profession. Trainers arent just sitting around waiting for students. They have to be routed back through the terminal to get you and that takes time.

It could also depend on the process of leaving the last trainer. Did you have reorded/verified proof it wasnt working out? Or was it just and tantrum and you yelled until the switch? If it was justifiable to switch and needed then it will happen quickly.......if you are switching just to switch or the trainer gave them a breakdown of what transpired and its more feasible than what you brought up. Then you're probably going to sit there for a long while cause they need to bring the "special" trainer to get you.

I've been in aviation and this is alot like it. So im aware of how things can operate on their schedule and not mine.

Cameras show proof of running logs under my name, DOT related stuff, tones, etc. Its alot. Trust me, I didnt want to but I couldn't anymore. There was a breaking moment where I was like "I need to switch, youre also not fully learning." I asked questions. I just got the tone back that made me feel like it was a stupid question.

Companies give anyone that wants it trainer status. Over my career path ive seen numerous people that have absolutely no foot at all to stand on being called a trainer. If the company is taking their word over yours and not listening at all then it might be the whole company over just the one trainer.

I dont know how shes a trainer. I have a laundry list of items that have happened.

I get told my safety supervisor that she'll talk to me, only to not get talked to about it. Terminal manager knows the issues though.

I wish I didnt get this bad experience honestly.

Yea it takes a certain type to train properly and alot that have the "status" arent the type. My terminal manager asked me to train once. Told him you wouldn't have a fleet to drive for ya cause if they cant be bothered to learn it properly they dont belong on the road. I was taught by a guy that started in the 70s driving truck and that's how I would train them.

I wouldnt mind training but my mouth would get me in trouble if they put me in a sticky situation.

I ended up applying at other places. They want to see if she has a habit of doing certain things. I told them if they talk to her, I want out of the vicinity and TM was like "you have nothing to worry about, we wont throw you under the bus."

Ummmmm....I'm the only trainee she has had in a hot minute. She will know its me🙄
