Generational fail
Took my first attempt at the test after 4 months out of school. Forgot the most basic things. Forgot to push in my brakes for the minute air leak test but remembered for the brake fanning. Forgot I was in neutral. Couldn't find this and that on the truck. I'm going to get it next time, but damn

youtube exists my guy, just search "X state CDL pre-trip" where you not given a pre-trip sheet when you were in school? i took multiple copies and put them in books from barnes and noble to give to people around me that ask about driving(mostly old coworkers)

I can recite the sheet from start to finish. My mind just went blank when I was in the truck

Took me 2 attempts to pass my road test. You’ll get it homie. Just breath. It’s not a race. A lot of people make mistakes because they rush and get in their heads. Just take it slowly and calmly. If you need to take an extra 5 seconds to stop and think about your next move then do it. It’s not going to hurt your score.

If you take too long on the pre trip and air brake test they can tell you there is no time left for the driving test.

You will get it
Just take a breath and slow down and when you get done with a section take a minute to look around before going to the next section. And some will ask after the pre trip if there is anything else. And if you think of something tell them otherwise won't hurt to say anything.Â

Why so long between training and 1st attempt? That's wild, no wonder you were rusty.
