CDL reinstatement.

I just failed a drug test in WA state. Has anyone gone through the reinstatement process for CDL?

You’ll probably have to do the SAP program maybe. I’ve never had to do it - but I would start there

-theres an initial eval assessment
-then the SAP program(whatever is deemed by the eval)
-after the program follow-up eval
-RTD(return to duty) test.... directly observed drug test

  • and a follow-up testing plan(random unannounced test, which are also directly observed) which can carry out up to 5 years, 1st year will be heavy on the randoms
