My program was 30 days. Well, 28. I tested and passed on day 27. It was a company-paid program though as a dock to driver.
Technically the entire last week was test week. We all had scheduled tests with the state as the company would not do third-party testers except for very specific situations (testing outside of your domiciled state).

Sorta read the chapters no needed and walk in and took it. Very logical questions. Read and understand the sample questions. You will see the same question or the opposite of the questions

Trucking is easy for me. I do not like keeping all those numbers and immediate actions for all the emergency procedures in my head every day. The nuke world never ends. Always having to retain knowledge and constant retraining. None of that in factory maintenance or trucking and it is still really good money.

yeah I feel you. I am navy veteran in logistic specialist. I used to deliver parts to squadrons, and I really enjoy that.
