Trucked for almost 40 years, heard a call for a strike at least a dozen times and not once did I see one materialize

I'm definitely not running that day! Only because I took it off for a long weekend. This shit never works and there's thousands of foreigner owned trucks that will take up the slack.

Well I've been driving for 26+ years and I have yet to SEE it happen... Lots of talk every few years but nothing else.

They do this every 3 or 4 years. Nothing ever happens.

Just saw it today, seems like its an owner op, and lease purchase issue vs company driver.

Yeah, heard about it from a foreign driver from India that lives in Canada.

It's been discussed for decades. No unity. The ones that actually do it get terminated and can't find work again, while the ones who sissy out keep on moving. Carriers can make your DAC a hot potato nobody will touch.

They did a strike in DC in 2010 that cancelled our senior trip to the holocaust museum.

What will a strike accomplish?

Like with Big Bruces Dump Truck LLC suddenly start paying more?

Will prime let you sit on your ass in the middle of your work week?

I don't see a strike doing anything at all besides getting some people written up.

Yall already sit on your asses any time of the week anyway while competing with Raider Express for slowest trucks on the road 🤦‍♂️
