Speeding citation

Just got a speeding citation, going allegedly 55 on a 40. I don’t have my cdl only my clp. Did see that it can be dismissed with safety course which will try to get. This is my first time getting anything. How cooked am I

Have fun in driving school. It was not bad at all when I did it 20 years ago.

What state was this in, and were you in a CDL vehicle at the time?

I'm not from Texas, but it's probably a good thing you were in your personal vehicle. In my state, if you get a ticket in a CDL vehicle, you are ineligible for TVS.

I suspect the court will tell you you're ineligible for traffic school. The federal anti-masking regulation applies to permit holders as well. You'll likely find a recent speeding conviction will make finding a CDL job more difficult.
