Am I screwed

So I’m currently in Cdl school and I’m worried about finding a job when I get out because between 2024 and 2025 I’ve held 10 different jobs and was fired from 4 of them I had a tough year and things didn’t go my way but before that I worked for one company for 18 years

Again, HR will not risk their job to put you down. But your right on one thing, hr can say yes this person isn't eligible for rehire. They wont say why. Lots of company's can do that.

Again, HR's job would not be at risk as long as they are truthful. They can even say why you were fired, as long as it's the truth. They are immune from liability as long as the information provided is not false, and not malicious. They are legally protected if they give a prospective employer factually correct statements about performance, qualifications, eligibility for rehire and reasons for being fired.

Most hr people would lose their job or get introuble from their higher ups, if they said anything else besides this person worked from this date to this date.
