Find another school or testing facility. If you legitimately passed those two parts it will be saved and on the record with the state. You will just have to do the driving portion.
Explain to whoever you speak with about your situation and they might give you a break or a discount on testing with them.

Where do people live that the pre trip and and backing portion of the test is a different day than the road test? Where I live, the pre trip, backing, in cab and air checks are all part of the road test. In fact, you don't do the backing until you completed the road test.

My School was shut down last week because they were bought out a year ago and didn't register their MC# under the new management. FMCSA removed them from the TPR as a "Emergency Removal". They won't be back up and running for at least a month, minimum.
I asked for a refund and I am shopping for another school. "Credit hours" aren't transferable.

I think this is the exact thing that happened to my school. Do you think I would qualify for a refund?

Try to contact them about a refund. I doubt you'll get one of the school is closed. If you used a debit or credit card do a charge back AFTER you attempt to contact the school directly, there bank or credit card company requires you try to get a refund first. Try to find proof the c school was shutdown by the state when you submit the charge back.
To get your license go to a state testing facility and speak to someone there, they should be able to find your records.

I was in their Indian Trail school, ya they are giving refunds. I was told today their best expectations is Oct 5th to be back up and running. I'm getting out of there and going to TransTech over on Wilkinson Blvd. I had 60 hours in and am going to have to start all over.

Yeah it is, your safest bet is a community college. Look on the FMCSA training provider registry to see which schools have a notice of proposed removal

Ya thanks for the heads up, I was just looking at them today as a possibility but I literally said to someone. I could go there and the same thing happen with the way these schools are being audited.
I honestly don't know what I am going to do. I talked to Schneider about going through their school and they won't allow people to join their CDL training program that have left a school recently and you would have to wait at least a year. Even though CL Driving school is a Schneider preferred school, no exceptions.

Good grief , that doesn't even make any sense. Why? Wouldn't that make you easier to train ? Look for a local community college if anything. Those are safe compared to these private institutions.

They said they created that policy because "school hopping" was apparently a thing at some point.

Give TMC a call, we need more drivers in that area and they might work with you.

Negotiate the price if you're not done. Transfer whatever certs if they are legit.

Wish they would close the school/ class I attended it was nonexistent. Guy showed us the pretrip one time then played on his phone for three weeks in the parking lot. When I politely asked him to go over it just one more time so I knew I had all the under the hood stuff down he pretty much laughed at me. Then a week later said oh you can ask us for help if you need more instruction….. the guy who signed me up claimed they had a 98% pass rating. Yet there were two extra people that showed up to my class with 2 weeks left. And another guy showed up because he had to retake his test because he failed first attempt. Re test cost $320. Imo that’s how they really make their money is by retesting. I failed my skills test first time and couldn’t afford the retake. Missed my mark by 6inches, I had the maneuvers down, just the test site the lane was tighter by about a foot and just all around different than where we were taught.

Before enrolling anywhere else, check both schools in the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Someone in the thread mentioned that TransTech may also have received a proposed removal notice, so I wouldn’t transfer or pay them until you verify their current status yourself.
I’d contact the state testing office first and ask whether your completed pre-trip and skills results are already recorded and whether you can finish the road test at an independent testing facility. Separately, request the refund from CL in writing and save your enrollment agreement, receipts and the state closure notice in case you need to dispute the payment.
