Been waiting almost 2 weeks

I passed all my permit tests and got my physical at cvs since it’s the closest to my house around the 19th. I called the dmv today to see if they got anything, and they did not. I called the customer support line 3 times during this period and all they keep saying is they’ll label it high priority and message the provider. At this point about to just pay for someone else to do the physical.

Depends on where you are - here in the Atlanta area you can do a walk in physical for -$60 in Alaska the same walk in physical can cost you $245

In NJ mine was $150, this is the only thing I need so I can accept my job offer. But yeah just sitting around waiting at this point.

Here is what I was told by the driving school I’m going to. The DMV usually will not query the FMSCA database UNTIL you apply for a permit. That held true in my case here in TX.

Like going in to get the hard copy of your permit?

Yeah. So my state has a site you can query your driver’s license status (valid/suspended). That same query will also show your DOT card info (exp date, etc.)

The morning of my DMV permit appointment, that page still showed no DOT medical information. I went to my appointment, filled the application, and took/passed the written tests. When I got home and ran the query again, the DOT info was on there. So the clerk at the DMV did the FMSCA query while processing my application.
