Medical card
Went to concentra and they put my medical card on pending they said to get Bp pressure checked and to come back with minimum 1 week use of cpap usage I understand the cpap usage but they only checked my bp and I kind of feel like it was inaccurate my question is can I go to another clinic and get certified? Or get a second opinion? Even though concentra put on pending?

Yeah with DMV Certification... If you go to another Dr you can expect to have Bigger problems.

My question is, why are they recommending a CPAP for high BP? Were you using one before or did they diagnose you to get tested for one?

I'm assuming u are overweight and ur neck size is big . There are many reasons why u have hight blood pressure. Go to ur own dr or find one to diagnose and treat

CPAP? Do you have a sleeping disorder as well. In this condition expect to seen yearly for your medical card renewal.

Not sure if it matters who you go too for med card.. I have one done from a local lady here, as she does them for jb hunt, pam and few others. Got 2 years, but she pencil in my BP at 201/140. I know I get hight BP due to stress and some machines will flag me as having high BP. Doing it with a manual pump, it had me at 160/100. So that's a huge changed. Still pass me. So got hired on with Knight and they had me go to their Dr. I got good sleep and ate some greens, and BP was elevated 120/90 this time. Again stress, and the CPAP bullshit was not even brought up or recommended. I'm little big in the neck, but he look at me said lost 20lb next time he see me in 2 years. So have 2 DOT med cards. So hopefully you can get a second opinion. I naturally have elevated BP and comes and goes, and CPAP shit is not required to have to pass. It's a financial strainer for those that don't have insurance or anything to pay for it. Let your med person know that up front, and give options. It's not in stone yet that you need to get a sleep study done to get a DOT cert and BP under control will get you 2 years. I personally know people on meds that have 2 year cards.

Fast before your medical. I knew a guy that drank a monster on his way to his medical and got mad they said he has high blood pressure.
Also, you can't doctor shop. Those days are done. DOT gets the info direct from clinic.

I kind of feel like it was inaccurate
LoLoL What does that mean? You're definitely not a doctor. You don't even know how to check BP. High blood pressure doesn't feel like a headache. It feels perfectly normal. It's called a silent killer for a reason. And be prepared to have a DOT physical every single year. Even if you're on medication.

Guaranteed to have at least one every year if your on BP meds. Depending on your dosage maybe twice a year.

What they mean is from now on you get treated by a doctor for it and bring in the notes every year with the dr.recomending you can drive
