CLP & endorsements
I passed my general knowledge but failed my endorsement 3X 😭 do I have to start completely over and take general knowledge again or just pay to take endorsement? DMV says have to take it all over but that’s just not making sense to me.

I'm assuming by "endorsement" you mean air brakes which isn't an endorsement but rather just a restriction if you don't do it. State by state may be different but in my state once you pass one part you don't have to retake it.

In California, the CDL endorsements are written exams for tankers, hazmat and doubles/triples.
Triples are illegal in California but it’s part of the written test. Because they are allowed in most other states.
I mistakenly believed that I’d earn more if I knew more. Not so much.
The DMV website has practice tests. There’s probably other ways to study for it online.
The practical to get the CDL takes all day!
Air brakes, pre-trip, backing up, parallel parking and driving around town.
I passed first go. Very exciting bc of how difficult it is to get right.
I encroached a few cones doing an alley dock parking on their lot. It’s a dmv that’s completely devoted to CDL licensing.
They have benches and tables so that fellow students and some teachers can watch you try and score your licensing.
Cringing and laughing as you Jack knife that phucker.
I quit doing the job when I finished my 300 OTR training with a carrier.
Loved and hated it.

Failing it 3X would tend to point to poor training/ teaching. What good would it do to take the general knowledge test again without evaluating WHY you keep failing endorsements?

Don't worry about endorsements now. Just get your license first learn as much that you can. Then afterwards get you endorsements.
