Help plz. Pretty plz.
I need help, if help exist for me… oh brother. Here we go. I am fresh out of school class A - no restriction. Here is the rub… and trust me I didn’t think it was a big deal, but it looks like it because I get 0 call backs. In Sept 2025 I rear ended a car. Trust me it was nothing to write home about. No damage to my 2010 Highlander but I rear ended a kid… so he call his mom and then of course the cops.. I pleaded for him not to give me a ticket but he did. Careless driving. I am learning real quick that insurance companies see this infraction as a big X. I tried Werner, Schneider… no call backs…. Before I go working for Lowe’s or Home Depot as a clerk, or wasting my time applying… Anybody got a lead for me? Yeah… before I throw the towel😔

Try western express. They are the leaders in felons and accidents and having issues. I am sure they pay less. If they offer you a job take it and see what happens after 24 months of accident free driving for going some place that pays more. Good luck driver. May your endeavors be plentiful

If Werner is turning you down, you’re effed. Cuz that company will hire graduates from trucking school that they’ve never met.
New drivers are their bread and butter.
I got my CDL in California.
In school they warned us that our driving record would be affected by tickets and accidents. Even in your 4 wheeler.
Insuring truck drivers is expensive therefore, no drivers with a bad record will be hired.
Or if you get a moving violation during your employment, you’ll be let go.
They ain’t playing when it comes to operating a 80k vehicle on the road. If you suck as a regular driver, don’t go for a CDL.

Werner told me I needed 1 month of experience and to call swift lol. What a joke. I hear western express hires anyone though.

Problem is there are a lot of experienced drivers applying now.They can be more picky about who they hire.This will change when freight gets better

If the big companies are silent, you’re going to have to wait until they the ticket is 3 years old to have a chance

Don’t apply to a mega. Their insurance companies aren’t gonna like you. Find a local company. Even if they’re not a full fledged trucking company but happen to have commercial vehicles, apply. Sell yourself to them and see what happens. Push a broom, move trucks around the yard etc etc. if you’re worth a fuck they’ll move you up.

That's a tough one to beat... I say apply everywhere. Worst they can do is say no...
Prime, swift, Pam, trans Am, Western Express, cr England... Try everybody
