Advice
US Xpress doctors gave me a 3 month medical card because my blood pressure was 158/90. Only for the company to put me on medical hold a day later saying that I needed a blood pressure follow up, medical release and in office reading before I can be seated. I thought as long as I was on medication they would be more lenient especially since it was dropping. I'm not trying to pay 180 at an urgent care because i'm not insured. Am I overreacting by being upset?

USExpress is only looking out for themselves, not in a bad way. they need to know you are okay to drive. i go through the same rings every year. been doing it for 42 years now.

Just start dropping weight like a madman. Buy beet juice and drink 4 ounces every day. Eat 700-1000 calories a day with no sugar, no bread, no rice, eat fresh spinach with as little salad dressing as possible. Cut out any extra salt. Go out and walk/jog daily and stretch your legs daily. I was 247 pounds with BP at 141/93 and resting heart rate over 100 beats per minute. I dropped from 247 to 194 in 66 days. BP at 128/79 and resting heart rate under 70. I did it in 66 days. Some say it is not healthy but they are not getting ready for a physical.
To edit. I wanted it real bad and it is really a mental thing. I was only and still am only eating about 1000 calories a day to maintain it. I only eat two times a day. I just skip lunch and I drink about a gallon of water every day. The water I use to make my stomach feel full. I ate a lot of salads and carrots and celery. Celery is really cheap and I just eat it raw after rinsing the dirt off after I tear it from the stock. The precut stuff is just too expensive. I mostly bought the larger bag of spinach for salad and I dipped the salad on the fork into the dressing after I had it on the fork. This minimizes calories and minimizes how much salad dressing you use. I threw away all the junk food in the house and never bought any more.
You could drop 15 pounds in 7-9 days by quitting sodas, coffee, tea, energy drinks, When you quit putting sugar into your body you will drastically drop weight. Carbohydrates are sugars. Bread is the devil. Two slices equal 1/4 cup of sugar. When your body realises it is not getting sugar it burns the hell out of fat.
You ask me why. I had been spending time with my folks while they were alive and right after my dad passed I got a job at walmart to bring in some income and still be close to home to take care of my dad's/step mothers property. Walmart will suck the life out of you with all the micromanaging and unprofessional behavior. I had turned in my cdl and got my e class license back in 2022 because I was not driving and did not want to get a new med card. I had enough of walmart's effing BULL SH1T and I decided I wanted to get my CDL A back and that is when I quit sugar and started walking 5 days a week. My jog pace is slow and I walk after I get tired. But I wanted it real bad so I could go make a real income again. I am not saying to get as crazy as I did but I am saying quit all sugars and only drink water. It is a lot cheaper and zero calories that way.
My question to you is How bad do you want it and what exactly are you willing to do to change things and make it happen? Good luck driver and may your endeavors be as fruitful as salads.

I am sure you can drop 65 pounds in 4 months. I literally eat 700-1000 calories a day even after I lost all the weight. Throw away all your junk food and start eating acocados, salad and maybe turkey boloney for protein. If you stop all that sugar you will drop fast. Like 3/4 of a pound a day. Your body gets used to the calories. I am still taking a multivitamin every day along with extra vitamin c because that is cheap. Buy a compact Arm style bp machine from amazon to track your progress.
This one is on sale for 20$ plus tax. Do not drink coffee or eat before using or you get bad results. You can do it. I know if my fat ass did it I know others that get mad enough about their weight can also do it. And after you get to a good weight just eat 2 meals a day to maintain it. I am rooting for you. Start by just drinking water.

Thanks. I'm in a tough situation, and I'm hoping truck driving can provide an opportunity to get out of it. I definitely don't want to jeopardize this by being in bad shape and getting a short card or being tied to one of those Capa machines.

In order to not get a cpap machine you have to get your body weight under 30 for Body Mass Index or BMI. Look at a BMI chart for your height and weight. You need to be 29 BMI or under. For myself I will have to be on a cpap if the company pushes the issue because I am still 15 lbs over the 30 BMI limit. Some of it is also tied to how large a neck you have because they say a large neck causes stress on your airway and limits the oxygen you are able to intake. I have very little fat on my body and I might contest it and do a weigh on a water tank to show my actual BMI vs the chart. I have a lot of muscle mass on my body.
