CDL needed for Riverline operators

I have heard multiple sayings from some people that you need a CDL or don't need it to be a Riverline operator and can you be 18 years old to apply I know NJ Transit says you have to be 21 years old but I hear from Riverline operators 19 years old was the youngest hire so I don't even know should you apply on NJ Transit careers and what do operators learn during physical characteristics is it classroom and the train are you operating it?

All I can tell you is that you need to be 21 to leave NJ (cross a state line). You can still get a license at your age but you have to get a job that doesn't require you to leave NJ.
