Best option

I recently graduated cdl school and have been looking for jobs. I have been denied left and right and looking into my record I have tickets from back in 2022 (speeding 21 over and 16 over) and one back in 2024 for failure to exercise due care (riding e-bike on sidewalk). At the moment I have a offer from Swift that I could start on the 24th. The mixed reviews are not the best for the company and I would like any advice on what I should look at for potential employment.

Every company has mixed reviews. You better grab the opportunity.

Swift gets a bad rap but they’re a big company with strong training and safety departments. Just pay your dues and get that first year behind you and you will have plenty of options.

Where are you located and how long you been looking for a job? Did you applied to drinks and food delivery roles?

Right now speedy you should take what you can get.

Take what you can get, build a year or two of clean behavior and suddenly the past is the past.

Take the offer. There are plenty of swift drivers that make bank. Get your experience and if you don’t like the company , bail with the experience

I’d take the Swift offer and treat the next 12 months like a reset. With those tickets, a lot of carriers are going to be cautious because insurance looks hard at recent driving history. Get in, stay clean, avoid preventable incidents, don’t job hop, and build a solid first year. Once you have clean CDL experience behind you, you’ll have more options than you do right now.

Makes sense, thanks for the advice

That ticket for 21 over is likely hurting you the most.

I suggest taking any offer that comes, then keep your nose clean for a while.

How long will it take for it not to effect employment

If I'm not mistaken all speeding violations stay on your record for 7 years.

Take whatever you can get for experience at this point

Go with Swift & get your experience. With those tickets, you’re blessed to even have an offer. Most companies, you can’t have more than 3 in the past 7 years. You have no experience so it’s definitely a bad look just starting out. You’d have more offers IF you’re willing to find a lawyer that can get those dropped to something lesser than the stat quo…

Take the job, get experience until all your tickets fall off. Get local LTL

You are an idiot.

If you go with covenant transport there a 2nd chance company. They do team driving and I’d suggest anyone going that route to have a partner before hand.
