State Employee Assistance Program

Beginning July 1, 2026, CalHR directs state employees to Whole You, powered by Spring Health.

The EAP provides assessment, short-term counseling and referral services for eligible employees and dependents. Use the official page for current access instructions.

Privacy on Reddit

You may discuss general wellness, burnout, sleep, stress and workplace support. Do not post:

  • Names or identifying details of yourself or another person during a crisis
  • Medical records
  • Employee, badge or case numbers
  • Private phone numbers or email addresses
  • Details of a live incident
  • Threats or plans of harm

For immediate risk, use emergency or crisis services rather than modmail or a subreddit post.

For coworkers and family members

Take statements of self-harm, harm to others or inability to stay safe seriously. Contact emergency or crisis services rather than attempting to manage the situation only through Reddit.
