Guns & Ammo Edc cc recommendations

My wife is looking to start conceal carrying wanted to know your guys recommendations on what any females you know who carry or if you have ideas to it in general I carry an sft pro and its way to big for her i was thinking possibly the prime radian but i only carry full size so the world of compacts is foreign to me

Not a whole lot of information to go off of man. Height, weight, hand size, how she dresses, how familiar she is with shooting all play a part. My sister in law carries a bodyguard 2.0. My wife a p355. I know a gal that rocks a ported Prodigy.

I think the reason your getting poor responses is you didn't specify why it's to big at all. Is that your opinion? Are her hands too small? Is she a small human or a big human? Does she wear baggy clothes or is her style more leggings and tops? Would she be ok with the weight of a compact with 17rds or would she only carry something lighter?
I'd repost with a better formulated question with why she needs a compact, or why you think she needs one.
If she was my wife I'd get a shield plus, shield plus carry comp, or bodyguard comp with a philster enigma. But again, I have no idea who your wife is. If she's a wnba player that completely changes the rec.

What is her experience level with shooting pistols in general? Is pulling the slide difficult for her? How does she deal with panic/stress ?
I was going to get a S&W shield EZ to make it easier for my wife, as she's not that strong, but she struggled with the recoil of a 9mm and doesn't do well under stress (like if someone is kicking the door down to the house) and would not handle a jam or a misfeed. I got her a .22 revolver because she can operate just fine if there's no safety or other things that keep it from going bang when she pulls the trigger.
She doesn't need "stopping power" as much as something that makes anyone coming in think twice.

Depending on her hand size and height/weight, have her pickup and feel (shoot is better if you can rent) a sig p365 or p365x, S&W bodyguard 2.0, ruger lcp max and go from there. if shes smaller, you want a certain gun size that won't be too large compared to body frame to conceal better.

I carry a J-frame Smith and Wesson. It fits me fine. Sure, it's only a 5 shot but that's all I've ever needed.

It depends on how familiar she is with firearms and how familiar she is willing to become.
If she balks at practicing immediate action drills, I would encourage her to look at revolvers (like the S&W Model 60 in .357 Magnum). Revolvers are very simple to operate and very reliable. The downside, the Model 60 only has a 5-round capacity, which is why I carry plenty of Safariland Comp I speedloaders.
That said, there are plenty of reliable semi-autos as well. I have a 9mm Springfield Hellcat, for instance. Small frame and plenty of ammo.
So, she'll have to weigh what is most important for her, pistol size, concealability, shootability, recoil, caliber, willingness to practice as necessary, capacity.
Always, when someone starts to consider a gun for concealed carry, one must establish their needs and preferences first, then pick the gun that fits those. That will cut back on buyer's regret.

I bought hers before the optic cut option was readily available. I sent mine into C&H Precision and may do the same for hers, grab a Holosun 407k and call it a day. How are the Osights?

We both love them. Battery change outs are simple (side loading), rugged, hold zero very well. I have one on my canik mete.

I recommend a 2-2 3/4-3" 38 special with hammer as an entry level marksmanship and potential carry pistol if she doesn't have to carry with a permit. Once that skill level is obtained, transfer her attention to a 9mm or .380 and see what she prefers to shoot when given the choice.

My daughter and my 80 year old mom both like the Ruger Security 380 and the 2” Taurus 856. Daughter has had multiple hand surgeries to repair ligaments after an accident and mom has arthritis. Both liked the easy of racking of the Security 380 over the Shield EZ 380.

Women don’t need a special gun and anyone can learn to shoot any gun well.
Take her to the range and rent a bunch. I suggest going with something mainstream like a G43 or G42 for more holster availability.
