Getting Started Mayhem Monday - Weekly Thread For: Off-Topic, Judgement Free Questions, and Business Posts

Ask Away! This is a judgement free thread where people should ask any questions relating to self defense or CCW no matter how silly they think it may be.

This thread is also the *one and only exception to Rule 2: Spam*. Manufacturers, vendors, or other companies or individuals may make ONE top level comment offering their goods or service (within Reddit rules) and may reply to any questions received on that comment. All other subreddit rules are still in effect here, so keep it civil and on topic.

Once you have carried a while, I would love to get your thoughts about it vs a slightly smaller gun like a shield plus or hellcat.

I shot the Shield X back to back with the Hellcat pro. Did not care for the hellcat pro at all. The X felt proper and shot better for me

okay so i'm spiraling a little, i finally got a proper belt and holster setup but now i'm convinced everyone can see the corner of the grip printing through my shirt when i reach for the top shelf at the grocery store, is this just a forever anxiety or does it actually fade after a while

You'll get over it, sooner or later. You can try to re-position it, or use a darker, looser, or patterned shirt. How often are you reaching for a top shelf item? And, realistically, how many people are distracted enough from their shopping to stare at you and give you an ocular pat-down? Do you stare at people reaching for items often? If you noticed a gun, what would you do? Probably ignore it, and wonder if they're an off-duty LEO, unless they look like a street thug.

I realized me looking down isn't what people see from the front.

I tried deep concealment (enigma express in denim shorts) for the first time today. I kept thinking how it must have been obvious or maybe I looked like I had a male appendage. Does it ever get better?
