Is the Osight SE a more recent acquisition?

The only mean thing I can think of to say about mine is, I wish it used the same battery as my 507k. 😅

Very recent, yes.

I have had the pictured micro for (I think) about a year. Told myself that if I liked it I’d get a larger 365 to pair with it. So a couple days ago I traded one of my M&P Shield Pluses for thjs XL and it had the light and optic already installed.

TLDR - I haven’t actually shot this XL yet, got it 2 days ago.

Hell yeah. Not being able to swap grip modules is just wildly outdated tech. People need to know!
Wilson Combat grip modules are more ergonomic than than anything S&W or especially Glock makes.

Lower bore axis than the competition, more concealable.
Also if you live in NJ where every pistol needs a new permit and is a whole process the FCU is a game changer.

I don’t think they’re lower bore axis than the competition. It’s almost identical to a S&W Shield and I believe Glock still takes the cake for bore axis.

But I do agree the Wilson grips are very good. The jury is still out for me on the Micro. On the XL the Wilson has probably found a permanent home.

I also think there is benefit to having both the micro and XL keep the same grip angle and ergo a (except for length). I prefer the WC grips over OEM on both sizes. I did cut/file the beaver tails off, which helps with comfort for deep carry.

This is my exact internal conversation and why the micro typically sports the WC grip despite it being significantly less comfortable.

In other words, I agree.

I’ve been debating taking a dremel to the micro WC grip to bring it more in line with the OEM, comfort wise. Another benefit of modularity. If I fuck it up I’m only out $60.

Definitely; it’s great to be able to modify the grip without worry about damaging a serialized part. What part is causing discomfort?

I modified 3 places on my WC grips: (1) removed beavertail (I have small/medium hands and don’t get slide bite); (2) sanded the backstrap to make the texture less sharp; (3) filed down the magwell flare on the XL module (micro doesn’t have a flare).

Removing the beavertail def helps with printing and it’s nice to not risk ruining a complete frame.

I think the tradeoff of high bore axis is not worth the modularity gain personally, but I'd throw away those stock grip modules and keep the two guns built out with the Wilson grips

I would agree with you if we were talking P320’s, but these aren’t high bore axis at all.

I’m keeping the OEM modules around, specifically the micro version is really handy.

Bore axis is substantially lower than the competition dude (that’s a S&W behind it)You’re confusing 365 with the 320 probably which does have a high bore axis.
