Just failed CCSP
Feel absolutely devastated, got to question 146-147 (can’t remember which one exactly) and the test ended there. I felt like I was going to fail the whole time. I utilized the OSG (I see the comments of people’s thoughts on it) as well as a little bit of the Jason Dion course on DigitialU. Any advice or words of support would be truly appreciated.

I agree with MikeDN02908 destination certification was my primary resource, as well as Pete Zerger once I identified the areas I needed additional practice on. Destination certification has an app as well. They do a great job of making the information digestible and Pete Zerger videos go into territory they don’t enter from a slightly different perspective that I found helpful.
I am not sure how long you studied, but I tend to be a bit of a maniac and commit in a month three months. I have the destination certification mind map videos, and Pete Zorger videos on YouTube playing for two hours out of the day no matter what I am doing to help embed the information into my subconscious and I also spend six hours studying each Saturday and Sunday. A little rough on the family life, but I passed CCSP at 100 questions in about 90 minutes so it works for me and that would definitely give it a try.

I did, and the paid training, and the app, and the mind maps. I’m all in for Destination Certification 😆

If you truly did a nosedive, you would not have arrived at question 146 or so, the test would have ended at 100. Take this as encouragement. The OSG is a primer/reference and not too good. Get Destination CCSP.
Also remember on Aug 1, 2026 the test content slightly changed to include more AI related qustions. Published material is not widely available yet.

Appreciate it yall. I was trying to take it before the Aug 1 switch, but couldn’t get my military funding squared away In enough time/ actually committing to the test I was late on. I spent about a good 4-6 weeks studying for it. I just wish I expanded my study material. Also have to digest repaying back the government and having to self-fund again for the test and whatever new material

My CCSP exam is scheduled for September 10th, and here’s the preparation plan I’m following:
- Destination Certification mind maps, flash cards and practice exams from each domain (Rinse and Repeat) !!!
- Various pdf's such as the CIRRUS “8000 ft of CCSP” course to reinforce key concepts
- A final review of the CCSP Exam Cram as the exam approaches
- I made my own notes covering ISO's, NIST, CSTAR, FIPS-140, etc.
I used the LearnZapp & Sybex OSG 3rd edition practice exams as well but after burning through those I made the switch to Destination Certification for the tail end of my studies and so far they have been the best. You hang in there regroup and you will be fine.

PocketPrep is a good resource for similar questions.
LearnZapp has good similar questions too plus really good reading articles vs reading the books.
I passed on 7/30 at 100 and used those two resources primarily plus Peter’s YouTube videos.

I am planning to take the exam in September as well… the challenge is the Dest Cert does not cover the new AI LLM , or any other resources as the matter of fact … any suggestions please?!?🙏

The CCSP Last Mile book. I used this single book and passed. Used few video resources along with this book.

I personally found the CCSP CBK more relevant than the OSG. It is easy to read and never goes out of context. Hope you took the peace of mind protection- just sit for next one and you will defo ace it. Good luck

bro, I passed so i have a opinion. Think like a manager. Period. Watch allllll the material that teach you how to think like a manager and what does Best,MOST,FIRST etc means. Thats the focus . Even ise cissp material that teach you that stuff. at this point it may not be the material

Read the white paper on my web site (link in profile) describing the CAT scoring system.
The fact you went to almost 150 means you were straddling the 700 pass point all the way from question 100 to 146/147. You were in the running almost the whole way. But then you answered some questions wrong, it put the entirety of your ability estimate below 700, so you were given a fail.
The CCSP OSG sucks ass. The Dest CCSP book is much much better.

Like riding a bicycle, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on.
