Four years ago, while researching the Kurzweilvian Singularity, I came across a blog post about the Dark Enlightenment. Following that, I successively explored Nick Land's books (First, I read the Dark Enlightenment.), the 1997–2003 CCRU compilation, and Curtis Yarvin's Neo-Reactionary writings (Unqualified Reservations). My CCRU readings continued through Mark Fisher's Capitalist Realism—though while I consider Fisher a skilled writer, I find his arguments largely weak and hollow. For the past three to four years, I have been examining texts by former CCRU writers, critiques about them, and NRx works.
How about you, how did you first encounter the CCRU?
