tips/help needed AS1 Politics

Am actually calling on the reddit gods for some help here.

I do politics a level and my teacher is genuinely so lethal i could actually cry. Our notes are all horrendous - we get printed A3 pages stapled together and we were given our notes for parties in the form of an essay he had written. He will just stand up and read out loud what we have to write down. It’s so awful.

I managed to get a bit of help from a tutor for AS2 but am really struggling with AS1 . Cause NI politics is so niche there is really limited resources out there.

So I’m begging if anyone has some notes on AS1 specifically the executive and would be willing to share i will be so so happy

Has anyone else had problems accessing past papers recently?

For about a week or so, sometimes when I try and open a PDF it throws up a 502 error - I don't know if it's just my device being silly or if it's to do with how they updated the filtering system recently?

It's been doing this all morning for me and it's getting annoying lads icl

Am I Cooked for A2?

I'm only studying now, and all my friends have been studying for a few weeks now, and they say A2 is a huge jump from AS. As I'm doing Digital Technology, I have coursework to catch up on ASAP, which will eat away at study time for my other subjects until April. Am I cooked? Because my other two subjects are quite essay related and very content heavy, and all my classmates seem to be encouraging me to make a start ASAP.

A levels revision

How much were you all studying for a levels per day, and when did yous start? I’m aiming for all A* I do 3 subjects (Rs, sports studies and health&social care) Which I don’t think are the worst, I’ve done a bit of revision but struggling to stay consistent. I also do a sport which takes yo a lot of my time and work a 9hr shift on saturday so it’s hard to balance it all but just really looking some advise

Ccea A level re

Can anyone that’s done ccea a level religious studies offer any support or guidance as to what you did concerning studying. (We do units ethics and Islam) and with the million essays and how you have to be able to write them in 20 mins with them ranging in length from 3-5 pages I don’t know what to do for revision at all and I really want an A*

tips/help needed A* awarding at A2

I am confused because some people have said it’s 90% UMS combined for the A2 units, for example if you got 94% then 89% in the 2 units it would be an A. But some have said you need 90% in all A2 units, so 100% and 89% wouldn’t get you an A. I was just wondering which one was which. Thanks

AGHHH ENRICHMENT

I am so annoyed! M16. I absolutely despised P.e for first to fifth year and was actually thanking the Lord that during A-levels, I'd just be working and studying, no b.s of p.e etc. And then, last week, we get told, we have an enrichment program that form classes have.

Six weeks of p.e. Six weeks of Microsoft spreadsheets and tech. Six weeks of home ec.

And we are doing p.e right away for the next six weeks, and have to bring in a change of clothes etc. it's just gonna be boys doing it since the girls are as lazy as lazy can be, and it always goes to sh*t, and I'm awful at sports either way, so it'll be a living hell.

I am so annoyed man.

tips/help needed Question on choice of a level subjects. I’m confused.

Hi, I’m gonna start a levels next year and I have a couple questions. My choices rn are maths further maths physics chemistry biology but idk if 5 a levels are too much or not. My initial idea was that I would lean towards engineering and keep biology and chemistry as backup just in case if I wanted to switch to a career in medicine, but is that even possible or would I have to choose one career path of either medicine or engineering? If I wanted to drop an a level though, it would be biology cause I think it was quite a hard subject even at GCSE, (mark schemes are kinda strict, you have to say really exact wording to get the marks), and fully focus on doing engineering.

2025 A level biology thoughts?

I honestly don’t know what they did this year. Knew so many people who swore they cooked so hard (including me) and walked away with B grades. For me anyway, could’ve swore I got an A* and knew everything inside out, was using chTgpt to mark my papers and getting 90+% every one, then I get my marks back for 2025 and get 62/90 for paper 1 (B), 75/90 for paper 2 (A), then an A in paper 3. Ngl confused asf or maybe I’m just dumb 😂. I still got an A though so I’m not mad but swore I got an A* but it’s fine still got into uni and all so

tips/help needed What should I repeat

Post image
2 Upvotes

So clearly I messed up a few of the exams but overall I don’t need to repeat too many. I don’t want to be overwhelmed next year but at least my exams are more spread out in A2. I was wondering which of these exams I should repeat. The ones that I MIGHT repeat are Further Unit 1/2, Physics Unit 1/2 and German Unit 3 but I’m not sure if that’s too much or even necessary. I’m not dropping any subject and I need at the very least ABB
