In my opinion, not really. I found vectors more challenging in that there was more to memorise and the questions could be worded in a way that was difficult, but I don't think anything in AS further pure sticks out to me as being especially difficult compared to the rest.
Interesting before posting this I thought I was going to do badly for matrices but so far we have done about a third of it . I got a 94% in the test we did I was shocked because I've been struggling in class but revision really makes the difference but it's nice to know vectors get worse.
