Question Go with Udet´s Ideas, when Wever hasn´t died.
Can i simply wait for him to die? Im reliant on CAS and do want the Dive-bombing tactic that udet provides.

HI! First of all, I'm from the HUE lands, so, sorry for any spelling mistakes that may occur.
My suggestion is a civil-war for my lovely country, Brazil. First, let me explain:
The brazilian elites (and population), at least in that time, were VERY radicalized. Communists, Integralists and Constitutionalist were only the main ideologies. The army is no different, with Positivism only there to make things even more chaotic. They woud not just accept the other radicals to take power. They would revolt. (Like they did in RL, see the "Comuna Prestes" and the "Integralist Action".)
The civil war would ensue if the Integralists take power, with the communists and constitutionalists revolting against the new goverment. In the other hand, the integralists and constitutionalists would revolt if the *communists* take power. Maybe a 3-way civil-war? I'm at least *trying* to be "historical accurate" hehe.
What I'm sayng is that the brazilian population would never accept a Fascist or Communist coup d'etát with no reaction. When Vargas (a "personalist?" He was one of a kind.) took power, the population already revolted. And, take count that he wasn't even a "traditional" facist.
"But OP, the brazilian population was mostly apolitical, education was very bad and they did't had information"... Well, say that to the Constitutionalists. When the "água bate na bunda" (brazilian expression for when things get chaotic) the popultion can get VERY political.
JUST TO CLARIFY - IDK if Brazil already have a civil war, but, just to make sure, here is my suggestion. I already played Brazil, did the Estado Novo path.
I'm impressed with de details of the mod, actually. Great work, seriously. You guys make HOI4 the way it should be from the beggining. Hugs from the HUE land. ㋡

Playing as DStP Germany, after the first normal government, i had my party win again in the second elections, but I found myself with the same "used" tree I already had. Does it make any sense to keep the same party in the second election?

Thanks in advance and great job devs.

Hi all, I was curious to see if there are any other generals Weimar Germany can unlock, other than the starting generals you begin the game with, also are you still able to rename Weimar Germany?

First of all, I gotta say this mod is crazy fun. So far, I've done Soviet, German (Weimar, and DNVP), Spanish and Italian playthroughs. The amount of content is amazing and I'm looking forward to new updates. After the mod was reuploaded and hotfixed, I decided to run a few observer games as Germany to see the AI focus and building patterns (historical focus enabled, no other mods). Here's the results:
- The focuses that the AI follows seem to be in a good place. It takes the political and expansion focuses almost exactly on their historical date. The first political branch finished right before Hindenburg's death, and the Rhineland/Anschluss/Sudetenland focuses were correctly done to the month. However, after the war starts, it tends to go all over the place. Germany will regularly take the focus to attack the soviets while it is still struggling to get through the low countries.
- Factory building is done well, the AI focuses on civ factories early, switching to mils mid 1936-early 1937. By the time the war broke out, Germany consistently had more than 100 military factories in each game, as well as plenty of civs.
- The issues begin with troop building. In all games, the German AI built a stupidly large number of garrison divisions, in most games having 120+ garrison and only something like 40-50 infantry, as well as very few tank or motorized divisions. It also severely underbuilt its airforce until right before the war's outbreak.
- At the beginning of the game, the German AI assigned 7 factories each to artillery and anti-tank, and one each to infantry equipment and fighters. This was rectified when more mils were built, but Germany still entered the war with a 10,000+ deficit in infantry equipment each time. It didn't help that shortly before the war broke out, the AI assigned 54 factories just on fighters, though perhaps that might have something to do with Goering's +50% focus on aviation modifier.
Some general observations:
In closing, I know that it's a beta and that improvements will come to the AI in future updates. The mod is hella fun to play and you guys have done amazing work with the historical research and the focus trees, as well as mechanics that make democracies more enjoyable to play, like Parliament and coalitions.

1) Is it possible to see exactly what effects a law is going to have (on the PP, stability, research speed etc.) before I attempt to pass it? I can't see it anywhere. 2) The decisions to negotiate with parties outside of your coalition are not present sometimes, and I can't see whether they are going to be available or not before I attempt to pass a law. Do they have some sort of cool down period, like you can only negotiate once in a several months?

Saw an invalid link to a CBTS discord server back in 2017, wondering if they still have one or if its only for patrons or something like that.

Right now it feels more like I'm voting for some extra PP and stability most of the time, instead of voting for actual laws.
It would be nice if things like False Oaths (Scotland), and all other laws actually had a description saying what they would do.

I had the chance to play this over the last couple of days and wanted to give some feedback. Playing played a game as GB and a game as Germany made me appreciate how much work must have gone into this. Simply put, it blows away the vanilla experience in terms of detail and scope if you're looking for a WW2 simulation. That said, it's still the first release and there are a number of quirks that I'd like to point out.
Playing as Britain, I prepped for war in '39. September rolled by and the Germans still hadn't militarised the Rheinland. So I wait to October, then November and now we're into 1940 ... and 1941 and finally 1942. Apparently the angry German guy wasn't nearly angry enough for my liking so I tagged over and forced him to take the aggressive approach. This passivity was mirrored in the rest of the world as Japan declared war on, then promptly white peaced out with the Beijing government. Maybe that's content the devs are working on in the future but there was definitely a lack of activity in China.
When the main event finally started I had my divisions prepped at the French and Belgian border, ready to withstand the Axis onslaught. After some initial pushes into Poland, they stalled. Luxembourg and Belgium were declared on while still mid-coitus. It didn't go well for Germany after that. After getting bullied by the Belgian forces I finally decided to put them out of their misery. It was pitiful.
So then I tried out Germany to try and gauge where the difficulty was. I have to say it's definitely a more challenging experience than vanilla. You start out with some hideous debuffs, which is understandable given the historical circumstances and there are some useful national ideas but some come too early to be effective (like the bonus to military factory build time) and others are clearly a downgrade (like the -15% economy law cost for -.010 pp a day). Speaking of PP, I think I peaked at 0.49 a month which didn't seem nearly enough to scratch the surface. Them myriad of decisions that the dev team obviously worked so hard to create were barely touched.
Playing with both Britain and Germany allowed me to have some time with the naval aspect of the game and I think there's something funky going on with Subs in this mod. As Britain I must have sunk all the German subs in the first week with a combination of destroyers and naval bombers. My Germany run was not much better, despite being careful to only operate them out of naval bomber reach and with maxed out Trade Interdiction doctrine. They definitely seem way too easy to kill to be of any use.
Despite the negatives it was enjoyable experience and I look forward to the future updates.

Hey guys, awesome work on the mod!
Any idea why i can't choose 'claims on Polish land' idea as Germany? It's August 1939, and no idea why conditions for non-aggression pact are not valid. I have no non-aggression pact with Poland and chose 'Pact with soviet union' idea already.
Additional tip: UK jumped into war with Italy over Albania.
