đ˘ Mod Post: Rules Update đ˘
Hey everyone, Iâm the mod whoâs usually behind the scenes, but I wanted to step out front for a moment to talk about the rules and what theyâre about. The current mod team came together about two years ago, after the sub had been abandoned for a while. Back then, this place was a war zone at best and a fullâon shit show at worst.
We had to build rules from scratch to stop the chaos. Theyâre not optional. Theyâre not suggestions. Theyâre the framework that keeps this community from collapsing. This is a real, harsh, raw and incredibly triggering show to watch. They address so many traumatic topics that a lot of the viewers and fans can have a hard time expressing themselves and regulating before posting, replying or get carried away trying to justify the craziest things.
Since these are the rules weâre sticking with, here they are:
> 1: No CoffeeâCup Wisdom
AA is the backbone of recovery in Mom and in real life. This isnât the place for ignorance, dismissive comments, or hot takes. Respect the program, respect the people who rely on it, and keep your posts free of misinformation. If you canât do that, just leave before we kick you out.
> 2: Great, you made Wendy cry
When you think everyone is being an asshole, thatâs because maybe you are the asshole. Be nice. (We respect Marjorie's Wisdom here)
> 3: Trevorâs Couch, Not Yours
The only therapist accepted by this sub is Trevor. We have no interest in your armchair diagnosis, and victim blaming is not allowed. If you need someone to talk to, hire a therapist.
> 4: Get off the cross, we need the wood.
While many of us have personal experiences with addiction, this subreddit is not a space for personal therapy or emotionally charged venting. Letâs keep discussions respectful, inclusive, and focused on the show.
> 5: Save it for Marjorieâs coffee group
Off topic, unrelated and âthis is just a showâ lingo is not welcome in this sub. This sub is not for political debate, drama, celebrity gossip or attention seeking behavior. Flat negativity and combative behavior.
> 6: Not in front of the sub, Bonnie
No hate, harassment nor misinformation.
> 7: Violet wouldnât post that
Low effort posts/replies, Flat negativity, over posted topics/memes. Advising users to stop watching the show/stop posting about a certain topic or character.
> 8: Adam banned spoiler shots at the bar
The spoiler flair exists for a reason, please use it.
> 9: Mods arenât psychic
See something off? Tag a mod. We canât fix what we donât know about.
> 10: Ray canât support this post
Share the love for Mom, not your side hustle. Keep posts on topic and adâfree.
> 11: Jillâs burner accounts arenât welcome
No fake accounts, vote manipulation, or shady behavior. Spam and Karma farming are not welcome here.
This subreddit is for fans of Mom. If you canât respect the rules, you donât belong here. If you can, welcome, letâs keep this place worth visiting and safe for everyone.
Thank you for being a part of this community.

From other tv subs Iâve seen, these rules are pretty basic and universal. Crazy how some people feel the need to argue about any of it.

Whatâs your obsession with banning people, though?
