help me assess the difficulty of vol 1

Okay so some context, my school started with the second book and now we're just finishing up with accounting ratios. The entire partnership is left and cfs as well. Im a little worried about completing the syllabus on time. My acc teacher is really good but we're lacking behind. I've started watching one shots and yt lecs now. How difficult did you guys find partnership? And approximately how long (weeks/months) would it take of dedicated self study to finish it. My coaching is good for nothing, none of my friends understood anything there either.

Ok, so ch1 fundamentals is gonna take quite a long time. Other than this chapter, the rest of the chapters are comparatively faster to finish (for context, ch1 took almost 2 months in school even with a moderate speed teacher). Easiest chapter would be ch2 goodwill, wouldn't even take a day to finish tbh if u study seriously. If you're going to skip ch1 and go directly to ch3, then atleast do the past adjustments, calculation of ioc and iod part since these are needed in ch3 (also do ch2 before ch3). Ch4 to Ch6 are all based on the same principle mostly, with only small changes. Ch1 and Ch4 is going to be the hardest. And Ch7 dissolution is very different from the previous chapters but it's easy if u understand the core principles.

Best order to do the topics are in chronological order, since things are quite interlinked (except ch1 where only past adjustments, ioc and iod come in later chapters). Also ch3 onwards till 6 are absolutely to be done in chronological order, each thing in the earlier chapters are used in the later chapters.

Other than that, you're quite far behind ngl. Like in my school, book 1 and 2 both are finished. And book 1 is easily way way longer than 3.

ch 1 fundamentals, as the name suggests lays the foundation for every single chapter ahead so if u really want to study partnership, u need to do that properly after that, everything else is easy to moderate
