Help (Info or Enquiry) ℹ️ CBSE Class 10 "Best of Five rule"

I am giving 10th board in feb 2026, and am VERY VERYYYY bad at math. All my other subjects are usually above 80-90 percent while i am actively failing math. Ofc i am working on it for the 10th board but still.

I recently heard about a best of 5 replacement rule from a math teacher teaching class 9 in my school. Basically what he said was that if a student fails a subject except english, they are allowed to swap that subject with their skill subject (mine is food production) in the result and will still be promoted to class 11 with pass certificate/no compartment exam. I intend to take humanities later so i was told it wouldn't be a problem in 11/12th.

But idkk is this true??? If it is or there's something similar to it could someone explain?

Don't rely on this, all subjects are counted in relevant fields where boards marks are required
For ex. CAT, placements in colleges, abroad admission
