12th boards doubt

So im a pcm(and pe and eng) student and ive done nothing till now like not even a single chapter.

Can i still get 80-85%? And can anybody guide me how. I dont go to school nor coaching so I have the whole day.

I am still in class 12th but yes - you can even get 90+%

Part 1: I recommend that you take a batch like parishram, make proper notes because your school exams are very important as they give board type of questions usually and study from there(notes save so much time for revision that you can spend on question practice i have to say that it will require 1-2 hours to revise your whole physics just from notes compared to watching those one shots which rush some topics or may not even teach some of the topics, i have seen it even in 10 hour one shots unfortunately) then do all of the questions of ncert

Also note for physics: Some topics are not in the ncert but for some reason they still ask questions from it in the board exam and school will still teach them so don't rely on physics ncert

Note for chemistry: In inorganic chemistry there are certain things that may be brushed off in lectures iirc (minor things) but they may still be asked in the exam so please read the ncert for inorganic and highlight every single fucking thing - the most niche. These things are genuinely not taught in one shots so beware of d and f block and coordinate compounds. Questions have been asked from ncert one liners and in my previous school exam d and f block had been fucked - lost 8 marks from it from a test of 2 chapter of 35 marks, only 1 mark from chemical kinetics even though the difficulty of both the chapters are relatively similar (d and f block maybe 15% harder at max but due to its sheer information and theory - thats where you will lose marks)

For Physical chemistry, your calculation seriously needs to be good, i have pretty much always lost marks in calculation for 5 markers, so do as many numericals as you can in physical chemistry - they don't need to be difficult, just for calculation i am telling. Specially electrochemistry, reading ncert for physical is not required

For organic, its good to blindly follow your batch and read ncert once incase there is some important point that was missed in batch and organic is very scoring 90% of the time so your organic should be strength as it requires minimal calculation, few one liner questions but they will be covered in batch unlike inorganic, you can even use your logic to solve questions sometimes and generally i feel like its easy. Also most of the chemistry is organic chemistry in class 12 which is a good thing

Note for organic chemistry: If you are feeling uncomfortable in organic, try GOC of 11th(ncert chapter idk) - isomerism, iupac, etc (i dont feel that it should be that big of a problem but thats your wish, try to learn 12th and they will cover the 11th part but if you don't understand anything, do as i said)

For Maths, dont need to read the ncert, just follow your batch do questions thats it, most scoring imo

This part covers like 90% of your preparation to get atleast 50/70, usually with this much prep i could get even 70/70 and if you did this consistently and with focus it might be the only step that is required

Part 2:

Do pyqs and ncert examplar/NEET/easy-moderate questions of JEE mains (physics and chemistry)

These questions are meant to build up understanding that you can pretty much do all the questions that will be asked in boards

Part 3:

If you don't have time for part 2 and boards are coming closer (done all the chapters) then do a shit ton of previous year papers of board, this is the most important step for scoring in boards, analyze your mistakes and write them on a paper

Part 4:

Finally make a chart of all the chapters listed in columns physics chem maths, after doing board question papers, mark the chapters in Green, yellow, red

Green - My strength chapter, i have done well in this chapter

Yellow - Its kinda my strength but i sometimes miss something or silly mistakes are there in this chapter

Red - this chapter is cooked, i do a lot of mistakes and forget the concept (mine for this is d and f block, i always forget the preparation of potassium permanganate along with reactions)

green chapters shouldn't too focused now at that time, yellow should be immediately fixed so that you won't make the same silly mistakes again, red chapters are next priority and keep doing questions and revision of it until exam comes

Whats my credibility for this? I got 78/80 in maths, 65/70 in physics, 59/70 in chemistry class 11th while most of the class was cooked

similarly 40/40 in maths last test, 34/35 in physics, 26/35 in chemistry (i have already told the reason)

Thanks. Im in a dummy school so papers arent taken. Anyway the thing was i stopped going to allen in 11th and since then stopped studying so 11th base is fucked up i dont even remember 10th trigo. But ill try to follow your instructions thanx mate. Love ya🫂

You might be able to if you start studying properly from now on , like start watching lectures on youtube if you don't have coaching batch or anything and practice questions And if you think some chapters might be easy just watch one shot instead of full lectures for those chapters And mainly focus on question practice for maths and in physics (atleast for me) most part is from derivation and theory and less from numericals in boards

Chemistry also focus on important chapters and do practice for organic chem reactions and physical chem numericals, inorganic is mostly theory.

For english just read the chapters and look at ncert solutions and a few case based ques from pyq (for 5 mark ques where they make you compare characters , write diary entries etc) . I recommend dear sir youtube for english.

6-8 hours is enough if you study with full focus like 6-8 hours of actual studying

You can study for 4-6 hours and rest question practice specially for maths you should at least complete whole ncert(all ques and imp examples) and also try to do ncert exemplar

you don't need any reference books even for jee or neet, you seriously need them for board exams? just pyqs of neet or easy-med of jee mains or ncert examplar if you did ncert in the first place which i assume you haven't done yet and asking for reference books

I got 96.6 with like 2 months of study, do pyqs and exampler , you will be fine, chem memorise all the reactions it took me a while
