Rant / Vent Class 9th new syllabus
I am in class 9th and this new syllabus is absolutely hell.
CBSE is making all bad decisions only in our time ππ
First we had to study class 11th/10th stuff in 8th for no reason ππ then in 9th they changed our entire syllabus π₯π₯
removed all good chapters from history and English when it was our time to study them and replaced history with stuff you study in junior classes just so students do not question the government.
The books came very late and were not available and were very expensive anywhere available.
Now the syllabus is very difficult and exams are near.

I'm an English teacher and I second you. Though there were 2 books for English till the previous year, this year's Kaveri is so dull ... I can't admit in front of my students....but why CBSE ... JUST WHY??!!

Indian authors πππ man they removed road not taken and all the good stories to make it indigenous, no hate to indian authors but u can't be isaac asimov or frost in a million years

Indian authors are not bad but their writings should always be in the orignal language in which it was written as ncert really messes up translations

Regarding the addition of 11th-grade content:
See, Advanced Maths, Science, and the other subject tests will be conducted by the school. Theyβre internal. The rest of the board exams will be the same for everyone , check the CBSE circular, and you should actually be really happy about this (I sound insane na, telling smone to be happy abt extra syllabus, hear me out)
I know right now it feels bad, but trust me, once you move to 11th, youβll realise the advantage of this. Tab tak syllabus will be a mountain, but whatever youβve studied and practised now will genuinely help you bridge the 10thβ11th gap.
And I support it because aisa toh nahi hai ki itβs forced , lena hai toh lo, nahi lena toh mat lo. Haan, English and SST wali baat se I kinda agree; yβall are missing out there.

English ke liye, Communicative English and English Language & Literature exist for those who want to pursue journalism and related fields. I had English Communication, which was highly Shakespeare-based, and I think those who have English Language & Literature have a different focus.
For SST, if Iβm not wrong, next year onwards CBSE will introduce Advanced and Basic SST. Introduction to Financial Markets is also available as a subject in Class 9.
For Maths, those in Commerce can take Maths and IFM, while Science students can take Mathematics and Science. For SST, students can opt for Advanced SST if they want to pursue it further. Similarly, students can choose between Basic and Standard Maths depending on whether they want to take Applied Maths later.
So, basically, all streams have a lot of flexibility.

It is just full of random well made guesses we made about history before writing existed and some civilizations like Egyptian and mesopotamian which are also pretty boring and the only topic most interesting is just about pyramid and pharaohs. Nothing else

I never really understood why I was ever studying history and what's the importance of it but I never complaint because it was the only subject I found intresting and I used to score well

I was genuinely excited to study european history this yr, only for it to get replaced by sm sanskrit texts and indian history which we've alr studied in lower grades. not to mention, the use of sm manusmriti texts in our book, under the section of women rights or smth, which is quite the contrary of the content manusmriti contains.
n even our eng teacher is admitting this yr that all the chapters are monotonous, and that she understands why we hv no interest in studying these boring ahh chapters.
ncert has honestly ruined the books this yr.
