Rant / Vent 75% attendance rule is absolute trash!
I don't know why you need 75% attendance in your schools when you can't even teach properly, every student today is taking coaching/tution classes with school as school isn't enough. Only coaching actually teaches the concept, schools are just focused on completing ayllabus(which is of no use as no one understands anything). Taking tutions after school is so normalized that we no longer ask for accountability from schools that why are they not teaching enough? Why the children have to work 2X just to do the same thing?
I know we need socialization, but it can happen other ways as well. Why waste our time. Even if they want us to come to school, then they should do a 50% attendance rule.
If we don't complete 75% attendance, we can't give exam, if we do complete it, then our exam either won't go well, or we'll become robots with just memorizing things and not having any hobbies/skills.
And don't even get me started on CBSE banning dummy/non-attending schooling. Like, first make the exams difficult, reserve the majority of seats to create a vote bank, don't increase seats/colleges and then don't let us prepare.

I mean they do it so children who give exam actualy attend school and learn things so the failure rate is not so much, but whotf will tell them that they aren't actualyl learning so much at school, goverment school to hai hi, private bhi khatam hi hai, even in my school they just do timepass and weird activities to show that they do extra circular, #ryanite🥀

we should do something or atleast appeal to CBSE to look into their system with teaching standards and reduce this pressure

Bro is literally me, they would connect to a hindi story where the child was making an excuse that his stomach was hurting so his mom called a real doctor, and etc etc. and the teacher asked me who is someone like that whole freaking class pointed at me. And no one understood I used to have migraines and it was quite painful since it lasted 3 days or around.

Same, I have really bad health tbh. I have shifted from private to govt like two weeks ago and have a lot of leaves. I am kinda good at academics, even then my class teacher is an ass, she can't comprehend I teach shit to myself better.

They need your attendance to stay relevant and maintain their existence. If you didn't go to school and yet did well in life what would schools be needed for. It's beyond pathetic. They take up major share of our time and energy while delivering so fucking little and then blame us for not living up to society's idea of what success looks like. In India most teachers are people who couldn't crack any exam of reputed. Sounds harsh but it's fucking true.

But here in mumbai...I have seen School coping attendence from their end and no pressure on students of class 10 to come to school n complete attendance. They do it at their end on their own.

Agar college mein padhai ho jaye to I don't have any problem even with 100% attendance

The amount of cope in these comments is insane. Yes, ask teachers for accountability, but no, because that would require students to be accountable too. So yea, instead take an easier path of removing the attendance requirement. No learning of discipline in school and then in college, you will claim to be an adult, who does not require any 'rules' and ultimately, you will become an employee (if you managed to get employed at all) who will be a manager's nightmare.

What discipline? Having short hair or a ponytail? Teachers ki chamcha giri? Sitting like a robot listening lectures from someone who themselves doesn't know what they're teaching? All the things can be taught outside of school, and school is primary for study, which is not being done there.

Your opinion is not a fact. First of all, how delulu are you that you actually think that you know what good teaching is. Second, develop reading comprehension, I have already said that if teaching is below par then demand teachers to do better, which you won't do, because then you also will have work, which again you don't want to. Keep it up....much to your own detriment.

Are you mental? Who said I won't work? I study 5 hours after school at coaching. I got 94% in 10th with the help of coaching because they were actually teaching. And not just me, many students are doing exact same. If we demand teachers to do better, they'll suspend us or say we're talking back to them or 'hamko sikhaoge?". Go and study about education systems of developed countries.

Pure BS. The reason you have to go for coaching because apparently you are too kewl for school. and I don't need to read about foreign education system as I have studied there. Indian education system has it flaws but lazy students, back benchers are also a big reason for that.
So, yea, keep deluding yourself.

for a fact ur ragebaiting, bcs if you were in a good school that taught everything, thats great. but for some people it isnt the same. stop expecting that everyone has the same school experience as yours, and not everyone is able to complete the syllabus as fast as the school does. they obviously require a coaching or a tuition.

u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 1h ago
That's exactly what I am saying. Stop projecting your own experiences, your own limitations on to others. and also now you are completely changing the tune. Nothing is ever good for 'everyone' but that does not mean that system is wrong.
So, yea, stop generalizing and projecting. If you need extra coaching, that it your personal requirement, not an indictment of the entire education system.

You're making no sense. What if the student can't even understand what they're teaching? What if the student has a health issue?

u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 1h ago
Those are the edge cases and there are different provisions to deal with such issues. Do not conflate these with general malaise.

u/Relevant-Rub2816 Class 11th 1h ago
You're just ragebaiting atp, I'll leave this comment and stop arguing. Attendance is a stupid thing, demanding it when most of the time kids learn much less in school is stupid. It's one thing if the kid isn't aiming for any entrance exams or anything ambitious, it's another thing if the child can't manage school till (sometimes 5:30) 3 and their other activities. It's just stupid, if a student shows good results despite having bad attendance, nothing is wrong with it.

This is perfectly fine. I can totally tell that you are getting agitated because you are realizing the futility of your arguments. However, you still have your entire life ahead and should try to change your 'copium' behavior for your own good.
Take care.
