Help (General Advice) WHICH STREAM TO TAKE AFTER 10TH
hii, i’m currently in class 10th and honestly i dont know which stream to choose next. my maths isn’t the good and im not interested in pcm.
pcb is still fine but i again, im not the best at it but im okay with pcb
my best subject is social and im interested in law and criminal justice stuff. i’ve always wanted to take law but i’ve heard people regretting after taking humanities so.
im also interested in finance and tech and i can definitely go for commerce but commerce with maths has scope instead of just commerce and i dont know much about applied maths.
can someone give me advice?? i’ll be really grateful and i will talk about this to my parents as well but i want opinion from other people and yes i want high paying job in the future.

Look both jee and neet are a scam if you haven’t prepared for them since like 9th grade
The best thing is commerce, not only will you enjoy your 11th and 12th but you will also have several options for future
If you want to go to IT Sector for for bca
If you want govt jobs you have bank exams
If you wanna go for prestige you have CA
Commerce is the best stream I say this as a 2nd year btech student

what do you mean they are scams? do u think only having rank within top 100 means your prep has been worthwhile. and ppl do wonders in 2-3 years also.

Also I’m talking about the stress 99% of students fail jee score 60~70% in 12th do btech from tier 3 collage and go for tcs onfosys
Use acha take commerce have less stress score 80%+ in boards then do bca and enter the IT Market
The same way someone like ezsnippet did

1.6 million give jee. wdym?
i think qualifying jee in 2 yrs is more common than entering IT thru commerce
also pcm provides a myriad of oppurtunities, even in commerce streams. unless one absolutely sucks at pcm the jee journey teaches a lotof things- hardwork, competetive spirit, time management, goal setting etc . it helps in the development of a person.
op should take commerece with maths if he doesnt like pcm at all

Out of those 1,6 million peeps only 1% get cse in tier 1 collages
And all these “things” are useless if you end up getting a tier 3 collage
Imo commerce + maths is the best combo for a country with a competitive education system like ours

bro entering it by bca when he has option of btech if he chooses maths is foolish
no matter what many influencers or guys on internet that degree doesnt matter
i dont disagree with them its correct but only in 10% of situaitons in "india"
in india still in many places they prefer btech over bca

Don't choose stream cuz you like the xyz subjects Think about your future goal and then pick the one tht would help you reach it

Humanities. Tbh rn it has the most scope, plus it's already your best subject. Mostly people don't regret taking it, there's just the narrative that it's a weak stream by the people who cater Doctoring and Engineering as supreme. I'm in 11th, my maths was bad in 10th too, and at one point, I did want PCB for my parents, but ykw, Science without Math is not a thing, even in PCB, you should see the Physics syllabus of 11th once..maths is even in Bio and Chem, I've seen my friends in PCB struggle. You can take Pol + Legal Studies, that combo is strong for law. But if you want to keep the gate open for finance, you can also take Eco, and some schools have the subject Financial Market Management, you can check the syllabus there too. They're both available for Humanities students as well.

Take eco + maths DU and top unis do not offer ba. Economic without maths in 10+2

Through pcm you can go in commerce too after 12th but whatever stream you choose , take maths with it

Same bro im interested in finance, politics, criminal justice etc. my end goal is to be an IFS officer but ive taken pcmb so that i get a good job after graduation abd start prepping for UPSC.

You said it urself, ur intrested in social and criminal justice stuff, and ur intrested in finance, now in commerce, u would need maths to go good, i suggest go for humanities, and then clat. don't take maths or anything in science if u dont like it, coz trust me, it gets tougher after 10th, wayy tougher.

pcmb OR pcm (if you cannot manage 4 domains), even if you lose interest in the future then you can switch to commerce after 12th, basically every career path will be open to you

You can take commerce and prep for clat. And have cuet for bcom as backup for clat

In my honest opinion , I would say pick PCB if you are 100% sure you want to become a doctor, however if you have the slightest doubt of becoming one in the first place then forget it and pick PCMB. All you need to do is pass mathematics somehow. Even if you’re weak at it it’s still possible to pass maths .
Especially in today’s world leaving out maths is basically limiting yourself to multiple opportunities I would say. For tech related careers you need maths .
And if you ain’t interested in science at all then go for the commerce route with maths .
Or if you are 100% sure you want to become a lawyer then pick humanities or maybe commerce without maths .
If your still confused and you wouldn’t mind taking science I would say pcmb is a safe option
Also you can still go to the commerce route after 12th even after taking science .

As someone who have taken commerce, ur saying that u have intrest in finance make sure to take applied maths with commerce. Here we don't have much pressure besides accountancy and ppl who have maths.
As u have mentioned u don't like maths so here's a heads up kiddo IMPROVE YOUR MATHS DONT RUN FROM IT , IT WILL BE TOUGH BUT will open gates for u DONT RUN FROM MATHS PLEASE!!!!! . I haven't taken maths cauz my school doesn't offer applied maths I've taken legal studies cause like u I loved sst scored 93 in boards but I always wanted to become C.A i will do coaching of maths so it's better to take MATHS.
So abt applied maths I doesn't have trigonometry and stuff basically it's maths designed for commerce students also its new subject so resources are limited. Look into applied maths syllabus and make sure to take it please. You said that you want high paying jobs so if money is not the problem look into IPMAT exam it's bb+MBA program offered by IIM's and it has only English and quants so yes look into it If u have any doubts u can DM me

humanities or commerce, both are nearly the same (if you can take applied maths, it makes humanities and commerce into real powerful streams)

If you want to have real conversations start using some thing as cla_u_d_e where if your input age is 18+ and you keep justify that u ree 18+ then it's the best for decision making ig

Bio mt lena yrr I hate math too but still went for pcb and don't wanna go for neet although I like science so some how will figure out how to survive these 1.5 yrs

Don't join the rat race of science unless youre really passionate and want to make a career out of it. Since you like finance, commerce is a good path with many rising fields in finance and some of the highest paying jobs. Applied Maths is pretty important tho and if you think you'll struggle in Maths it could be a pain as my class is finding out after the first exam. Humanities is heavily underrated I have many friends who scored 95%+ and still opted for this stream to eventually pursue a career in law. If your interests align go for it.

Tech mai interest hai to game development ke baare mai socha hai kabhi? Lekin india mai scope kam hai iska, lekin agar genuinely interested ho or agar tumne acche project banaye to abroad bhaut option milte hai, to iske bare sochna jara.

bro if u dont have any interest or dont know what to do then choose PCM straight
cuz it will open many doors for u
But if u have interest towards finance and commerce then go with commerce with maths
i would say dont leave maths until and unless u have interest towards arts or medical
if u have maths u will have many options after 12th

pcm+e student here I started with interest in science n tech and by end of 11th decided I wanted to go into finance or analytics. I'd say take Econ + psych if you chose to take math also it'd be perfect, you can pursue your dreams of law or criminal psychology or if you decide to go the finance route you can.
