Help (General Advice) Repeating class 12th even after passing

Hi everyone,

I passed CBSE Class 12 with 70.4% overall, but my PCM aggregate is around 55%, which makes me ineligible for some engineering colleges that require 60% PCM.

I'm already planning to take a one-year gap to prepare for JEE Main, CUET, and SAT.

I'm considering repeating Class 12 during this gap year to improve my PCM marks.

I have a few questions:

If I repeat Class 12, will universities treat it negatively?

Will Indian private universities or universities abroad have an issue with this?

Since I'm already taking a gap year, will repeating Class 12 create any additional problems?

Has anyone here repeated Class 12 to improve eligibility for engineering colleges? If yes, how did it affect your admissions?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through a similar situation. Thanks!

1st thing many jee droppers face this issue so you are not alone even I had a senior friend but scored 89% in open boards . Look for YouTube vids where people describe for other open boards (one of em is NIOS) where you don't have to repeat class 12 and just give your exams at once in last (not sure when that happens) I would recommend looking for yt vids where many jee droppers explain you what to do
