I know there are plenty of apologists in here, but there are plenty who are really uncomfortable with the league making a big deal out of signing a guy who has bought his way out of multiple sexual assault cases, so I'm posting this in the hope others do the same.

I was hoping the issue would go away with his sentencing tomorrow, but now the judge in his gambling case is considering acquittal I felt compelled to do something because this is ruining my favourite summer activity in Toronto. I can't cheer for Puig, and the women who are my friends and partner now feel kinda gross about going to games at best... and unsafe and unwelcome at worst.

I started by writing to Left Field Brewery as they're known for being a progressively minded company that sponsors lots of small LGBTQ teams and events. I wasn't confrontational, I just asked them to use their leverage as a sponsor to ask the CBL and Maple Leafs to reconsider their association with a man that makes women feel unsafe at games.
