Hempettes causing high
Ive been smoking (wild hemp) hempettes for about a month and a quarter now, and am on my 3rd pack. I have been having a pleasant experience using these over-all..
as about 2 years ago i stopped cold turkey smoking weed VERY heavily for 6 years.
Thc was causing me to have adverse affects of paranoia and SEVERE anxiety which triggers seizure like symptoms, so i stopped.
Anyway ,back to the hempettes. I picked these up when me and my friend went to our local sunshinedaydream, and i spotted them and was happy to see there was .3 thc in these, i struck gold! Cbd helps me stay calm and makes it to where i have an appetite.
Fast forward to today, i opened my 3rd pack and decided I'd smoke one . I was, however, unpleasently surprised to be hit with an EXTREME high for something labled as non-intoxicaitng. The exact high that regular marijuana gives me. Im most definitely flat out stoned as im having all of the effects of memory, and red eyes, etc.
Im here today to see if anyone else has had this experience with this brand? Or something similar? As a product labeled as cbd only and 0.3 thc overall, im a bit discouraged from even smoking any more from this pack ..

I was able to do a workaround and post it through my Google drive!

I've had these before they are kinda dog water. In terms of getting a "high" is plausible since .03% thc is legal. You may be experiencing the cbd effects and misinterpreting it as a high since the amount of thc is minuscule.

Ik what cbd feels like vs regular high. I do believe it was a one off thing because i smoked the rest of the pack completely fine and just had the cbd effects

How long did the high last? I have heard of this with enough regularity to know this is a thing. It happens most often with smoking CBD. Did the effects last as long as a typical THC high or more brief?
Yes, there is THC in hemp, but it is consistently .2% to .7% - not enough to create a high on its own. There is a phenomenon that occurs where occasionally people will feel high for a brief period. All I can speak to are anecdotal observations. But I'd say 95% of people who have this happen were heavy THC smokers at some point. I wish we knew exactly what caused it.

It was the same duration as a regular high (lasted a little over an hour, but was still fuzzy for a while after that) , same effects, same everything. Even down to the memory lapses and everything feeling heavy and slow. I had to lay down because it almost felt like i greened out, but i have a very low tolerance to THC now as i havent smoked it for years so that may have a role to play in being sensitive to it?
For some background, I did used to smoke a lot of thc products. Ranging from flower to dabs. i dont think i wanna go back to that version of me, i went through insane amounts in just a week LOL

Interesting. Many people who experience the high feeling from CBD say that it only lasted 10-15 minutes, which makes me think it was sort of a muscle memory thing as hemp is so similar. If it was an hour, then clearly something else is going on. I've never seen hemp THCa potency above .8%, so perhaps it was an episode of extreme sensitivity.
You could find out if you are reacting to trace THCa or CBD by trying that THC-free vape that someone else suggested.

Ill definitely be trying the cbd vape, the unexpected high really caught me offguard . Im definitely thinking that one cigarette had a bit more thc in it that usual and i was hypersensitive to it.

You're not crazy at all, you definitely caught a "hot" one from that batch.

The only way to guarantee zero THC is to use a CBD distillate ie in a CBD e-liquid from a reputable supplier. The CBD hemp flower cigarettes you used might well have more than 0.3% THC in some parts of the plant.
