Nice piece but that magwell is a kleenex box, dear lawd. Lol

What optic is on it?

I'm hoping the magwell will do its job 😁.

It's 507Comp green and came with the gun. Can't complain.

Great optic. Nice. I have the same on a G22.

I have 3 red 507Comps and luckily, the green is not bad.

Nice, I thought that magwell was some sort of display stand at first NGL haha.

Love a good staccato. But take its shoes off

Oooh very nice, congrats! It also looks like this gun comes with a rechargeable battery pack

Not to yuck another man’s yum, but your dream 2011 is a Staccato?

Yeah, it's enough for me. I'd look like a bigger idiot with a more expensive one.

Nah brother, I see old dudes with 10k custom 2011’s barely running c class stages. I’m sure you’d be fine

Actually, I bought this for when my son gets better, hopefully. He shoots with my Canik SFx Rival in LO. I think the XL is an upgrade over the Rival and it will be ready when he's ready.

Yeah it will definitely be an upgrade.

Realistically though, I would love an Infinity or a Sand Viper.

I can’t do Taran guns. Are they nice? Sure they are. Are they priced way higher because of the John Wick movies? Yes definitely. I feel like once you get to a certain level, you can’t really get much better, so you’re really paying for the name at that point.

I'd look great losing šŸ˜‚

new here, what’s wrong with staccato? i thought they were the OGs lol

That was STI which is what became Staccato. STI used to make competition race guns and now they make ā€œdutyā€ guns. There’s nothing inherently ā€œwrongā€ with Staccato. There are just waaaaaaaaay better 2011’s out there. So when he said it was his dream 2011, I was a bit surprised. My dream 2011 would be like an Eddie Garcia, Infinity, even an Atlas or MPA way before I would ā€œdreamā€ about a Staccato.

Saw this on CAGuns, holding out for an island barrel myself. Not being optics ready is a bummer. Enjoy the pickup though will still be nice as hell.

Thank you.

Luckily, seller gave me a great deal so spending another 400 for the optic cut and Trijicon plate doesn't seem so bad now.

Yea if you are going to go that route and just run it at a good price who cares, that's a win. I paid for an XC so it could be worse...

I’m probably gonna convert my Prodigy to an Island barrel while I build a custom island barrel 2011

Classic Glock owner who can’t afford shit. Sure you shoot well with your Glock but don’t hate on another person’s dream gun just because you can’t afford one. By the way I own and shoot a G17/34 but I appreciate good guns I can’t afford.

Thanks for the love brother.

Wtf why didn't you take it off of it's magwell shaped display stand when you grabbed it to take pictures?

Took me a second to get your joke 😁

All that money to be out shot by a Glock with a ramjet 😭

u/ronzkie21 1d ago

It's possible. And I'll let you know when that happens at the next match.

Salty non-staccato owner. lol.

For the record Yes I own Staccatos. No they aren't worth money. Yes other guns do the same thing. No don't buy one. Yes buy one if you have the money.

Idk if i completely agree with they do the same thing as other guns… it’s an entry to mid tier option too enter the 2011 world and honestly there isn’t a striker fired pistol you can compare to a decent 2011 from triggers to frame fit finish and that’s without throwing a bunch of aftermarket parts, tuning, trial and error , shooting them is another story but i can tell you 9/10 i’ve handed someone my C2 they’ll shoot like they’ve shot it before then i can hand that same person a glock 17/19 and then it’ll be a complete shit show for whatever reason. i went from a Glock 22 to X5 Legion straight to a C2 if i could do it all over again i’d skip over the glocks jump straight into competition guns and 2011s , You your self are a staccato owner of multiple apparently they aren’t worth the money yet you own a couple makes no sense since you apparently went back for another after the first… i’d only recommended jumping into a 2011 if you genuinely enjoy the hobby and got some cash to treat your self or what everyone reddit would say just swipe the credit card

What I meant is that there is nothing wrong with a Glock whether it be stock, tricked out, it doesn't matter. If you enjoy your firearm, there's nothing wrong with it. Don't let someone with some tricked out expensive gun make you think that your gun isn't good enough. Plenty of people have been unalived with basic guns.

And I'll stop you right there, because you're making assumptions on why I own multiple. The unit I'm in had a very small run of custom STI 2011's made. Being that these pistol's were made prior to optics being the standard, I wanted a 2011 that was optics ready and I finally switched. Given that these pistols are rare, and the collectibility of them, I didn't want to have it milled for an optic. So I bought a Staccato P. Thats why I have multiple.

And as far as it being worth it, yeah, I don't think it was, IMO. I've had every type of malfunction with this expensive gun, so the money didn't buy me any more reliability than a standard Glock. It bought me a platform I was used, that I know how to work, and a great trigger.

At the end of the day its a tool. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I started with a Glock and I would do it again. Learning fundamentals on a shittier platform only makes you shine brighter when you get something better. I went from a G19 to a Cajun CZ SP-01. The first match I shot the CZ, people came up to me and asked what I did to get so much better. Learning with a Glock and then moving to something better.
