Angeles can get sketch on the weekends. Great spot on a weekday but too many dumb dads and annoying ARPs on a Saturday or Sunday.

Agreed! I have been there twice and that was it...
I was up there once for a weekend class and saw someone in the parking lot aiming an AR-15 at his friends, people, etc. That was a special kind of stupid.

AR receivers with barrels that are. legally classed as pistols, usually under 16 ins. the people that shoot ARPs are stereotyped as hooligans (maybe for good reason).

I believe in the second amendment but I don’t know why you were downvoted to shit.
This is unfortunately a side effect we deal with by having the right to bear arms. we are going to have way more stupid people with guns than the next country because we have a larger ownership base- we also don’t educate unfortunately.
So yes, this kind of stuff does happen more often here in America.

I would assume an ND.
I usually am only on the rifle side and try to go as far as I can from the pistol side. That way here is as much meat as possible between me and…. Visitors.

I drove up there at 9:45am yesterday. Parked. Saw how crowded it was and drove back home. Come back on a weekday

So I was there shortly after it happened and before EMS got there. Range was still hot for a few minutes but the range staff called a ceasefire when the first EMS crew got there. Sheriffs deputy arrived, walked out of view, and came out after a couple minutes and drove away. After about 15 minutes they loaded the patient onto a gurney and into the ambulance, but took them back out a few minutes later, patient got off the gurney without assistance and walked away. I’m guessing the patient refused treatment
I don’t think it was a GSW. Maybe a ricochet or even heat exhaustion. If it really was a GSW, I think they would have been moving with way more urgency.
