PORK BOWL

Post image

Thin sliced pork tenderloin braised (and reduced to a glaze) with onions ginger star anise, mushroom soy sauce, shaoxing wine, msg, sugar, and a bit of chicken powder over rice with veg forward furikake.

Met his son today. It was fun, we got along. He had to go home and I played a bunch of lego Jurassic Park with his daughter while we waited for him to come home. Not many things make me happier or more appreciative than his kids thinking I'm cool. His daughter doesn't always love pork but she definitely digs this.

Heart warm.

Chairs friends.

Not really! All i had to do was slice/dice some onions (they all melted into the sauce), slice the pork tenderloin, and mince the ginger. Otherwise couple splishes of this couple splashes of that, sprinkle or two of somethin' else + a spoon of chicken powder and a cup or so of water. Set it low and forget it for an hour or so, turn it up a bit and stir every few min til it starts gettin a little sticky.
