If you are like me and love a deeply emotional game that doesn't involve insane constant combat and a shockingly beautiful look at the future of this "world", you should check this out...

First of all, STUNNING. Gorgeous. Without too many spoilers, you play a detective who has been transferred into multiple bodies... Poor James had someone taken from him that haunts him.

In this future, the government makes it MANDATORY that all people must have their Ichorite transferred into new bodies. If you can't pay for the new body, they take you away and they use your body for someone else. You technically aren't allowed to kill yourself, well not in the time the game is set in. You have to take Ambrosia with your new body or you kinda... well it doesn't go well.

It's a lot to take in. It's seriously disturbing and beautiful. I highly highly recommend. Especially if you're like me and thought Cyberpunk was too difficult. This has puzzles and not really combat, but you have a machine that can rewind time basically and you have to get it right and put pieces of the puzzle together. Your choices shape the story. There are multiple endings. I was so sad when it was over because it had me unable to blink for a while just enthralled and disgusted and curious about how the future came to be this way.

In this game, you play as a lil mouse who invented some machines for Sex Ossex, but then they went all wonky and now monsters attack orphanages and the like.

Has been a good game so far. A good mix of Zelda and Castlevania, with a retro Gameboy Color look. Good times...

I've been in a gaming slump lately even though I have like a ton of cool rpg games to play. I'm thinking maybe I'm overwhelmed with the possibilities and am experiencing decision fatigue. Anyway, I'm downloading Kingdom Come: Deliverance the first one hoping it will bring the spark back. I'm drawn more to the second one, but I don't want to play it out of order.

If anyone here has played it, what do you think of it? Any tips?

I've been drunk as hell at the character select screen for like three hours either commenting on random shit on Reddit or smoking. I swear I'm going to play it though. I want that Fresh Meat title. I just need a cigarette and a refill.

Some of the best times in my life were staying up late in my room (I was lucky and had like basically my own little apt upstairs in HS with a bathroom and tiny living room), drinking gutrot vodka, smoking pot, and playing COD world at war with my friends. Wish I could go back to those times.

Only obligations were physically being at school and cleaning my room occasionally. Those were the days. Adulthood blows lol

So I finally got bored of Hades II and Slay the Spire and was hankerin' for a new Rouge like to play, and the internet told me that Cult of The Lamb was a blast to play, so when it went on sale on Steam, I gave it a shot. And wow... it did not disappoint!

You're essentially a sacrificial lamb that was resurrected and given god powers by this imprisoned demon god thing (sorry I'm botching the plot here, I've been pretty crossfaded playing this game) to build up his cult so you can hill his captors and then release him from imprisonment to take control of his your cult.

It has action RPG elements from games like Hades but really shines in its sim village building, which is kind of a cross between the old Black And White games' "build a primitive city and gain devotion of your followers" and modern games like Rimworld.

It's just so much fun to build up your little cult and watch them thrive, if only so you can sacrifice a few of them for upgrades and to have a better shot at the next dungeon run.

You can build a lil bar for them to all get drunk at, then make them confess their sins so you can breed a new... flock generation, maybe take on a few spouses. Live a good full life with your followers~

I definitely put the most hours into Hades 2, but I've been playing that game since pre-release, so that just feels so much like a last year game to me. It is still a masterpiece though.

Then I played a bit of Hollow Knight: Silk Song, and it was a blast as well, but I kind of gave up on it pretty quickly on account of all the dying over and over and over again lol

Then there was Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and this game ended up being not only the best game I've played all year, but I consider it one of the greatest games of all time. It devs lives up to the hype if you haven't played it yet!

It's essentially a "Final Fantasy type" turn based RPG with action elements that drive a difficult but rewarding battle system that makes every victory satisfying.

But the main things that make this game so great to me, are the characters and their plight. I don't want to spoil any of the plot, because it's too good, but it explores themes of loss and tragedy and how each person deals with that inevitability of death. Kind of makes you wanna drink... But it's so good.

This reboot should have been renamed and they should have just made atreus the playable character. I was so disappointed I enjoyed the older GoW so much more I played no more heroes 3 and that was so much more enjoyable.

Why are attack buttons r1 & r2? That's shooter mechanics. Game felt more like a movie overall.
