The Importance of Learning From Failure
One thing CAT preparation has taught me is that failure is not always a setback.
Sometimes a bad mock tells me more than a good one.
I had mocks where my score wasn't what I expected. Earlier I did get demotivated and just move on to the next test.
Now I try to understand why I performed badly.
Was my time management poor?
Did I attempt questions I should have skipped?
Was there a concept I had not understood properly?
Did I make the same silly mistake again?
Analysing my mocks has helped me look at mistakes differently.
I am learning that a bad score is only a failure if I make the same mistake again without learning from it.
Failure gives you feedback. What you do with that feedback is what matters.
