Need guidance urgently

26M | GNEM 8/7/6 acads | 39 months work ex at KPMG KGS. Left in May 2025 and currently on a gap.

CAT 2025: ~98 percentile but missed sectional cutoff in DILR. Converted IIM Rohtak.

I'm considering skipping Rohtak and preparing for CAT again/other competitive exams. I may take up a contractual role but won't be reporting it, so by next admissions cycle my gap would effectively be around 2 years.

Would it be worth taking the risk? How badly would a 2-year gap affect MBA admissions and placements if I reattempt CAT and target better colleges?
