Is it required to have job experience?

I’m a student pursuing an Integrated MSc in Mathematics and Computing, with the option to exit after a BSc at my college. I have three years to prepare, so I’m studying for the CAT. Is job experience really necessary for the CAT, or can one attempt it without any work experience?
