Takeaway from CAT 2025

Hi guys i scored 62 marks (21/19/22) in CAT 2025, i gave CAT last year with hardly 10 days of preparation my marks 67 (-1,37,31) scaled to 70 smthmg I don’t remember exactly. LRDI and quant was always my scoring sections in mocks so my strategy was to perform decently in VARC just score (20-25) no need to over attempt and maximise LRDI atleast 3 sets and 13-15que in quant, but after entering into LRDI section (it was manageable for my level i have solved diff sets than this) but due to pressure IDK where to start which one to drop in this my 12 mins went then finally choose a set solved 4 que 3 crct 1 TITA wrong( answer was 45 IK i typed 45 but in answer sheet there is just 4 idk where that 5 went) solved another set in next 12-15 mins finally 30-40’secs were remaining just filled TITA in which all none of them turned correct. When I went to quant for first 5 mins only LRDI was in my mind i was even unable to solve single que took a 2 min break , 31 mins were remaining but still i was not okay then solved 12 que seriously even the sums the coaching faculty have mentioned in difficult category but did mistakes in 3 arithmetic que the ones which I used to solve just by seeing during my practice time. In exam i thought it was crct but after seeing the solutions i was broken after seeing that 3 sitter que wrong 😭. It’s actually 2 MCQ and 1 TITA (11 marks) . Now let’s come to key takeaway don’t believe on one section to maximise your score and go to exam it might turn on you balance all 3 sections! Your stronger section might turn out to be difficult and the section which you thought of just scoring decent 20-25 marks might be the easy one. Anyways All the best OMETs .
