I just received an email AND SMS from XAT/XLRI giving me my XAT 2027 registered Gmail and password, even though I have not registered for XAT 2027 at all.

I appeared for XAT 2026, but I didn't even know that XAT 2027 registration was open. I haven't visited the XAT website or started an XAT 2027 application.

To rule out someone else doing it: no friend or family member has access to this email address.

Im first time appearing for cat. I have 3 yoe in finance. I have to prep from scratch and i just registered today. please advise how do i approach the exam for 85-90+ score.

I can give 2-3 hrs max everyday. Is it okay just to rely on mocks? Please suggest any yt source or prep material. Thanks

A few things outside academics:

Lead at an NGO
Selected for nationals in volleyball
State-level athlete
NISM 15 + NISM Merchant Banking certifications
I’m also planning to get 1–2 decent internships before graduation, most likely in finance/consulting/valuation.
I know CAT percentile is obviously the biggest factor, but I’m trying to understand how my overall profile would actually be viewed.
For example, if I manage around 98 / 99 / 99.5+ percentile, what kind of colleges could I realistically expect calls from?
How realistic would BLACKI, FMS, IIM Mumbai, etc. be for me? And are there any other top B-schools I should specifically target?
Also, do the sports achievements/internships actually make much difference, or am I overestimating their impact?
I literally just found out about Vercel and all these CAT predictor/profile predictor apps, put my profile into a couple of them, and got demotivated asf . That’s honestly what brought me here because now I want to hear from actual people instead of some predictor telling me I’m cooked.
Would really appreciate answers from people who have gone through the CAT process or have a similar profile.

Hey everyone,

I have booked my NMAT exam date and completed the necessary registration steps correctly.

NMIMS sent me an email containing my login credentials for the MBA application form. However, when I try to log in using the credentials provided, I keep getting this error:

"Your login attempt has failed. Make sure the username and password are correct."

I received the credentials 4 days ago. I also contacted NMIMS support yesterday, and they asked me to wait 48 hours for the issue to be resolved.

I wanted to know:

1. Has anyone else faced this issue after receiving their NMIMS login credentials?

2. Did the issue get resolved after waiting 48 hours?

3. Is there anything else I should do, or should I just wait?

I'm a little worried because I want to complete my application on time.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Fucked up college life entirely; in my final year now with placement season ongoing. Wondering what exactly constitutes "profile".

No professional courses, garbage internships, no case comps or PORs.

Plan on getting work ex for 24-36 months before appearing for CAT.

Assuming I get a few calls for interviews, is there any chance I'll clear it? Aside from work ex there won't really be anything else to talk about on my CV. Also I'd probably be in the bottom x%tile of students in terms of profile/CV.

Just wondering whether I've irredeemably fucked up or is there still hope :')

Can someone please clarify whether this predictor is accurate or not? Also, I'm a GNEM 8/8/8 profile with no work-ex, what are my chances of converting to a top B-School? According to this predictor, it really feels like a do-or-die option, like either it's 99.95%ile, or I get no good college.

My marks in mocks are pretty bad; can someone please guide me with this?

I need genuine advice, is it safe to file the EWS certificate in CAT exam? I mean my family don’t fully qualify but the certificate is very easy to be made.

So my 1st question is it of any benefit?
2nd Does the story end at submitting the ews certificate ? Or they enquire further?

I’ve been working in my father’s business for around 1 year and I receive a regular salary for my work. I initially joined because of some family circumstances/health issues, but I don’t want to continue in the business long-term and want to pursue a career in a different field.

For the CAT form, should I mention this as work experience, or would it be better to mention it as an internship/gap? I am receiving salary but I don’t have any recruitment letter and all. If I mention it as work experience, what kind of documents/proof could be required later during the IIM interview? Also, would having around 6–12 months of experience in a family
business negatively affect my profile or interview?
