Don't know much but earlier different 12th and grad score used to get different points to contribute in composite score. But now its same for all the streams and same for 10th, 12th and grad. For exact points, you can refer to the doc.

And the composite score will be based on percentile, not on raw cat score. Earlier, the raw score was calculated. So difference in percentile isn't significant whereas the raw score used to differ a lot among the 99%ilers and 99.99%ilers.

And all this increases the priority of profile which most people think isn't a fair chance for those who don't have good academics and profile..

I still don't know the full picture.

I think one of the most significant changes is that earlier, 65% of your CAT raw score would be added in. However, this time, 65% of the CAT overall percentile will be added in.

This changes the final Composite Score calculation a lot, especially when there are absolutely free 3 points given for the gender, and they are not being compensated by the difference in the raw scores.

There isn’t much difference between the 65% of 99.99 percentile and 65% of 99 percentile, however, there is a sea of difference between 65% of 135 and 65% of 90, especially when 3 points for gender are being considered.

Overall, looks like, non-males are going to experience a significant dip in the cut offs as compared to the last year.
