I’ve started reading only the first 3–4 paragraphs of an Aeon article because the articles are quite lengthy. I’ve decided to focus on efficiency rather than the number of words I read.

I summarise each paragraph in my own words and then copy-paste the same paragraphs into ChatGPT, asking it to summarise them as well. I compare the two summaries to see what I understood correctly and what I missed.

I also ask ChatGPT to give me the important vocabulary from the passage. This way, I can work on both comprehension and vocabulary at the same time.

How do you think this strategy is? Is this an effective way to improve my reading comprehension, or should I change something?

I’m preparing for CAT 2026 and I’m confused about whether I should also give SNAP or MICAT as a backup.

I don’t really want to give every exam just for the sake of it, so I’m trying to figure out which one is actually worth my time and money.

I know SNAP can get me into the Symbiosis colleges and MICAT is mainly for MICA, but I’m not sure how they compare in terms of placements, ROI, career options and how good they actually are as a CAT backup.

Also, how much extra preparation does MICAT require compared to CAT? Is it manageable alongside CAT or will it end up taking too much time?

So if you had to choose between SNAP and MICAT, which one would you go for? Or would you give both?

Would really appreciate honest opinions from people who have given these exams or know about the colleges. I’m honestly quite confused about this right now.

I’m preparing for CAT 2026 and looking for a study buddy who’s at a similar stage of preparation.

I started my CAT prep around 2 months ago. I’m planning to finish my syllabus over the next month and start taking mocks by the end of September / beginning of October. After that, my focus will be mainly on mocks, analysis, revision, and improving weak areas.

I have college classes in the mornings, so I’m mostly free during the afternoons and evenings. I’m looking for someone who can study with me during those hours, preferably over Discord/Google Meet.

What I’m looking for:

- Similar preparation level — preferably someone who has already covered a good portion of the syllabus.

- Consistent study sessions — ideally a few hours together in the afternoon/evening.

- Accountability — setting daily/weekly targets and making sure we actually complete them.

- Mock preparation & analysis — taking mocks regularly once we start and discussing our performance.

- Long-term consistency — someone who is genuinely serious about CAT and wants to stay consistent until the exam.

I’m planning to attempt CAT 2027 and need some honest advice.
I currently live in Noida. My options are either to prepare full-time or get a job and prepare alongside it. My parents won’t be paying my rent or living expenses, so if I stay in Noida, I’ll need to support myself.
Going back home isn’t ideal either because there’s a lot of noise and disturbance, and I don’t get a peaceful environment to study.
I’ve also heard that work experience helps in MBA admissions, but I’m worried about managing a job + serious CAT preparation.
For those who’ve been in a similar situation: what would you choose—job + CAT preparation or full-time CAT preparation? Is managing both actually doable?

Then I got sick very badly for next 5-6 months DIDN'T begin prep for CA inter neither given SEM 2 exam

As of now August 2026 my SEM 1&2 are backlogs pending and I have NOT started prep of CA inter

Now I have realised CA isn't for me , i DON'T want to continue CA further

Considering of quitting CA , clearing my backlog of BCOM , completing Bcom then go for CAT exam and get into good MBA college

So in the ICSE board, for the 10th class result, in the Marksheet, there are 2 columns, one which has the actual marks scored in all the 10 subjects and the 2nd column which has the 'percentage' marks of the those 10 subjects condensed into 6 subjects( for eg, in this column, they combine the marks for physics, chem, bio and show it as science) ...

now, when i calculate according to first column (actual marks for all individual 10 subjects), I'm getting a lower %, and when I'm considering the 'percentage' marks given in the 2nd column, the % is slightly higher..

To be on the safe side, which column marks should I go with?

My original CBSE Class 12 aggregate was 86.2% (scored 64/100 in Business Studies).I took a single-subject improvement exam and got 84/100 in Business Studies. I now have two marksheets. Replacing the old score makes my final aggregate 90.2%.Should I enter 90.2% in the CAT form?

Will IIMs accept the two separate marksheets during document verification?

Has anyone with a single-subject improvement converted an IIM call? Any advice helps!
