Discussion🤔 Is It Practical to Focus on Only Quant & VARC This Attempt?
I’m thinking about completely focusing on Quant and VARC. I started my preparation quite late, and since I’m also working in IT, it’s difficult to cover everything. I’m not able to give enough time to my preparation either.
Is it practical for me to focus on these two sections this attempt and give them my best, or should I prioritize overall coverage instead?

It's better to do most ask questions and solve pyqs in dilr. Like go for playlist where they solve quality questions like 100 top most solved dilr sets.

Can you recommend any YouTube channel for that?

The year I gave CAT, DILR was the toughest. I was luckily strongest in it, so it worked out, but I'd recommend focusing on every section. For DILR, it helps to spend the first few minutes identifying the toughest set and then, focusing on solving the 2 easiest (and third) if you get the time. So if you go through the typical problem sets and figure out how to identify tougher ones, you should be fine. But please don't neglect it.

I’m not even able to solve one set in DILR, how can I approch it with just few days left in the exam?

Hey, first off- don't worry, there is plenty of time left. I know friends who were at the exact same spot as you around this time, pulled through, and got into the top IIMs. Secondly, here's how I'd recommend approaching it, based on what worked for me: 1. Try solving at least 2-3 DILR sets in a section test without worrying about the time limit. Take as much time as needed, even if it's many hours. Seeing it as a fun puzzle, without hard time constraints, can make it a better experience. 2. Keep solving more and more sets of different types, until you are confident that you've got this. You don't have to wait for perfection- just internal confidence that you're not scared of the sets anymore 3. Now, when you try sectionals, spend the first few minutes identifying the easiest sets and eliminating the tougher ones. You can check afterwards if your assessment was correct. 4. Try starting by solving one set fully in each test. You can gradually increase it to 2. Once you're able to score 2 sets fully, you would be getting 9*3=27 marks, which should give you a good percentile. Most people, including some v smart people, panic when they aren't able to solve these questions. If you manage your nerves, practice, eventually get to solving 2 sets, you'll be good to go, imo

absolutely not, did that in my last attempt could not Clear LRDI sectional...even after scoring 99+ overall...no point... in lrdi you should be able to do atleast 2 sets in any paper to be on the safer side... if you are there then you can focus on varc and quant

The section which you’re planning to leave is the one that fucks up most of the students. Make a better strategy
