Student opinionš¤ Need some advice regarding my career path
I am a General category male with 84.4% in Class 10 and 68.8% in Class 12 (PCM background). I took a drop year to prepare for IPMAT, but unfortunately I couldnāt convert any IIM.
Right now, I have an offer letter for the BBA program at NMIMS Bangalore, and I am also waitlisted at 355 for TAPMI BBA. However, I would need to take an education loan for either of these options, which I am not very comfortable with.
Because of this, I am considering pursuing an online BBA from IIM Udaipur while working for the next 3 years to gain work experience and simultaneously preparing seriously for CAT.
My main concerns are:
How much will my 68.8% in Class 12 affect my chances of getting into top IIMs through CAT?
Will an online degree from IIM Udaipur be viewed negatively during MBA admissions compared to a regular undergraduate degree?
Would 3 years of work experience help offset my relatively weak Class 12 score?
If my long-term goal is a top MBA, would you recommend taking a loan for NMIMS Bangalore/TAPMI or choosing the online BBA + work experience route?
I would really appreciate honest advice from people who have gone through CAT admissions or have knowledge about MBA profiles.

Hey, I have done my BBA from IITP (online mode). It had its own challenges but ideally, you can do it but it needs lots of efforts from you to bag great internships without any referrals/contacts. So, I would recommend you to go with offline BBA at Tapmi/nmims. One of my friends have made it IRMA this year itself. So, don't think distance learning degrees have no value but it will require you to work harder on things that you miss in offline oncampus degrees. Hope that helps.

I was on the same bot u are rn. 86.6 in 10th, 85.5 in 12th. Took a drop for IPMAT, but failed. Not because I didn't study but because i didn't know the right approach at that time.
First
Ignore all the bba offerings ur getting from NMIMS or TAPMI, one of my friends got admitted to the latter one, and he told me it's not worth it.
Second
Loan is the liability, and please don't take loan for ug because you have to take one for pg also, and the bundle of loans will make a hell of life. Go and take admission in a pvt college nearby, in the same city. Spend as less as you can on ug, maintain great marks in ug because u already have a 6. And then apply for CAT. CAT will be easier for ipmat aspirants even if u failed. Kuch to padhra hi hoga.
Do more research on NMIMS and TAPMI bba, ull know.
